Paddack signs with fish

Featured Replies

For what it's worth, Paddack was decent in 2019 and serviceable in 2020. He dealt with a string of injuries from 2021-2024. Last year was his first healthy season and he had good enough numbers through early June. After not really pitching a full season in 6 years, he really struggled down the stretch. Pretty low risk move tbh. If he stays healthy, there is a decent chance he rebounds from his 2nd half last season. Or you could limit his innings by starting him in the pen or moving him there when White or Snelling get called up. If he gets hurt, 4 million is small enough that even a team like the Marlins can eat the money.

Paddack is the new Quantrill, open to grabbing Gallen too but he may be asking a bunch.

Yeah, I think Gallen has had a high price tag.

I like this move. Gives us more depth after trading 2 starters, and at the very least, hopefully a good trade chip if/when we're out of the race.

I remember the tremendous amount of CRYING on the Marlins boards when we traded Paddock.

We're do it RIGHT to trade him but do it WRONG to sign him back.
