Once again I shall say... In Carlos Martinez we trust!

If our pitching continues to pitch the way they are we will be a very good team this year. Even if they fall off I think our hitting will keep us in a lot of games. Hanley, Hermida, Cabrera, Willingham, and Jacobs will give us more than enough run support. Carlos Martinez = Stud I would love to see him become our closer this season.

With the Hurricanes short on receivers this spring, punter Brian Monroe is getting some work at the position and coach Admin Coker said there is a good chance he could contribute on offense next season. In Miami's first scrimmage last Saturday, Monroe pulled in a 70-yard pass. Monroe, a senior, has been working out with the receivers since he was a freshman, but things have become more serious this spring. He was handed a playbook and has been attending daily meetings with the team's wideouts. Coker has often said that the 6-feet-1, 208-pound Monroe is athletic enough to play an every-down position. "I'm very excited about that," said Monroe about the opportunity to play receiver in 2006. "Anything that will help this team. But I'm still going to be the punter."

Have you guys seen the latest mock draft they have? They have got Tyrus Thomas now going #1 overall in this years draft. Now I understand that the kid has got amazing talent and will be a stud some day in the NBA but to draft him over guys like Adam Morrison, Rudy Gay and LaMarcus Aldridge? I don't know. Also, last time I checked the Bobcats used a lottery pick on Sean May who plays the exact position and a solid SF in Gerald Wallace. I can't see why they would draft him. :confused
