I'm so happy that I am part of a forum that even remembers Bobby Bonilla. Remember when he was actually on the same level as Barry Bonds? Thems wuz the days... Anyhoo, Cabrera is a huge cog in our chamionship dreams and if we let him escape I think we'll regret it (Like hall of fame regret it)

I personally like Florida for the interim, but ultimately the Miami Marlins just is much better and I love it. The team was named the Marlins to be compared to the Miami Dolphins (at least thats what Uncle Johns Bathroom Reader says), so the Miami part would make more sense. Its like the Nets being named the way they were becuase they wanted to be associated with the Jets and Mets...it didn't really make sense ultimately because the team was in Jersey, but will now that they are off to Brooklyn. Plus, the sad fact is that there is technically another Florida team in the Devil Rays. The Florida thing makes as much sense as a team being named the Golden State warriors while there are about 3 other california teams. I say just call them America's team and be done with it. If that doesnt work, go with Miami. Either way they will be the best team in baseball this year :cheers
