Q&A with Len Kasper
Have the Marlins issued a release announcing the hiring of Rich Walz??? :mischief2 687414 FSN has, Marlins don't hire TV announcers. 687417 I was out of town and must have missed this. Can you re-post the release? I didn't see it on the media boards. Thanks!

A Word From our Friend Carl Pavano
alright, it took all of 2 minutes to get baraded like i said i would, but anyways.....you asked me if i wouldnt take a job for more security.....i definately would, but define security for a second. we are not talking about him putting food on his table for the next 50 years. Think about what 20 million dollars is. you can live off that interest and have a damn good life. it is completely carl's decision and i dont think less of him for going to the yanks, just thought the quote had some irony in it. 685583 Consider yourself berated also.

That should take up quite a bit of your time... :thumbup 679868 Id rather not be thrown off my bike at 30 miles an hour, followed by being run over by 30 other riders :thumbup 679904 Breaking Away is one of my all-time favorites...just saw it on cable last week. I assume it is mandatory vieiwing for all incoming Freshman in Bloomington. Go Cutters! :notworthy

Bench Philosophy...
Well, on the bench, usually: Experience >>> Youth BUT, for a guy like Willingham who IMO can't be helped by another minor league season, he should be exempt from this guideline. 679722 How can you say a guy like Willingham wouldn't be helped by a year in the minors? Let him learn a position and them bring him up when he will have a chance to play. Sure he can hit at the AA Level but his defensive skills are comparable to Das Texans. If he tears it up at AAA or if someone is injured he will get the call. Just my opinion... 679817 He's never going to be above average defensively anywhere in the field anyway. I'd rather him be up in the majors learning from Perry Hill and Andre Dawson... 679855 I guess we'll have to agree to disagree...I say he is much better off playing every day at Albuquerque vs. rotting away on Jack's bench ala Abe Nunez. :confused

Opening day tickets...
Can somebody with a clue try and give me a reasonable answer? Thanks!

Opening day tickets...
Why would it be in the interest of the club to honor seats at a different price from a different year? 679516 Umm...how about the fact that I purchased tickets and the game was cancelled??? I would expect tickets in the same price range. :whistle

Expired last season? WTF...there were only a few games avaibale after the hurricane cancellations...aren't rainchecks typically honored for one year from the date of the ticket? :hat
