  1. Give em the Deets and Stekasaurus Rex for a prospect and a compensation pick.
  2. They should have spend the money on an Older, Dirtier Barstad to help the team now tbh. *****Waits for Apollo bomb hook.*****
  3. What year was it? Trying to go off memory. I remember Freddy Gonzalez, and after Girardi. Also... seems the weirdest thing from skimming the whole story is seeing the name Kevin Gregg lol. https://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2018/06/24/hanley-ramirez-not-under-federal-investigation-friend-dropped-his-name-hoping-avoid-arrest/liGQyW4VpCxdbtmmA25BpK/story.html
  4. Life man.... when life throws you curveballs you just gotta be grateful Don Mattingly keeps you in the lineup to bat .190.
  5. I'd say Chen is the little used gas station bathroom that when you look at it... it looks like you'll only have to wipe the seat. Only to find out you need to move the overdosed methhead off the toilet and constantly be punching dicks away through a glory hole like wackamole just to take a decent shit. All the while just hearing Kenneth Kaniff from Connecticut asking you a million times to "Don't fight it, just bite it". Fucking Ken Kaniff from Connecticut. I hate that fucking guy.
  6. We have so many investors, I'm convinced for every bad contract year this team has... someones got 0.5% stock.
  7. I thought those had real cash value, like savings bonds and Chad Roe, Wes Helms or Donnie Murphy.
  8. I need to open up more accounts to like this post. It deserves 1,000 internet points. Ready Player One would give you a fucking mystical key for unlocking this for the world to enjoy today.
  9. Yeah, but that won't be counting the 15,000 tickets they gave away to have 10,000 people actually show up.... To have 5,000 of those pay $25 for parking to see the god damn Portland Ducks.
  10. Someone he know was caught with a large amount of fentanyl, and during the course of the investigation the suspect name dropped Hanley Ramirez (assumption is as a means to impress law enforcement) and it's backfired. I'm sure Hanley wishes that "Friend" picked up that name he dropped, but you are who your friends are. This should get interesting. Even if Hanley was part of the investigation because of the name drop... he's gotta be on his best behavior because he knows they are waiting for a fuck up. Can't get caught with so much as a DUI or a nickelbag right now or his career is truly over. Then again, it was probably over in 2013.
  11. Hanley's gone after a job since being release with as much zest and vigor as that ground ball he booted to left field in 2008.
  12. I disagree, I feel like his plate skills were an issue the first few seasons. Passed balls and blocking balls in the dirt seemed to be a real mission for him. Same with pitch framings. He's worked his ass off to get better and I've seen improvement from his rookie year to now, but alot of times his athletisism and perfect technique gets him by - especially with pop times. He's got it down to a science since hes worked so hard at it. It's impressive, hopefully he'll keep maturing behind the plate and be a better receiver before his next contract so he can get paid like he deserves. I like the dude, hes great. But to me it looks like he's a shortstop or quarterback playing catcher and finally catching up on the amount of reps needed to get better. Whats the phrase... 1,000 hours to be an expert, only one hour to be a professional? He's finally getting in the reps he should have gotten growing up and his skills are getting so much better.
  13. You sure he didn't hit Brinson to motivate him?
  14. There's a great quote by Pat Riley, and it comes to mind in times like this: "[sonOfJack] needs to shut the fuck up" If you think having no fear of losing your starting job and being given the longest leash imaginable for any Major League Player is going to help him develop...then you're as hopeless as Brinson was in April and May. Being in the major leagues requires constant adjustments and studying. Being told daily you're ok, you'll come around like Mattingly and Menechino have said only inspires you to keep trying the same things over and over again to get a different result... aka INSANITY. He's playing pissed, I figured as much when he responded to the instagram campain and brought it up in a interview. He had no other option then to try different shit or be embarrassed nationally. Lebatards jusifibly being ridiculed for this, but it wasn't a personal attack on Brinson. It was an attack on the Marlins for tearign down a roster that had probably one of the best 1-4, maybe 1-5 in the Major Leagues. So before you call someone elses opinion Moronic....just Shut the Fuck Up.
  15. Or More likely he realized he's a major leaguer and started putting in the work needed to not be embarrassed? Some people react differently under pressure. It seems like he thrives in it, which is great. All year he's been able to relax and learn because their committed to him long term on the MLB roster. Mattingly refused to bench him but is giving him days off and practice days. Thats great, but when you arent in fear of losing your job... we all get complacent. I'm not saying Lebatard did this for those reasons, and it's a little fucked up... but don't leave a guy batting .160 on a Major League Roster after you traded the most productive outfield in history because you didn't want to pay them. He should have been sent down in early May. They want to develop youngsters at the MLB level, they can deal w the pressure.
  16. If 6-8 was the Sunday game, I can mail you mine- would just need your address through a private message. For stubs, the best place to look is ebay. Over the years I've been been lucky enough to get tickets going as far back as 1998, and all 5 days I was looking for in a row. Theres one guy who usually lists new tickets every month- from Marlins games. just keep your eyes peeled.
  17. Been said Hill is here Because he was found to be competent but overruled by Loria and Loria’s yes men. Irs one of those, we heard your good but was handcuffed- prove it type of things. Most bad signings he advocated against and begged to use the money in different ways, I could see Samson giving Jeter the 411 and Jeter taking it into consideration. Samsons interviews w lebatard have been refreshingly honest and transparent. I dig em.
  18. DJ Svilik or something like that. A former Yankee.
  19. Funny thing is he played MILB too, a lot of Card companies got his sig mixed up with the HOF one. Cant stand when people walk around with the phone on speaker everywhere- Fucking everyday in Miami i’m Hearing “Mira mira, no me hoda” or whatever the fuck it is.
  20. I'm so fucking tired of this shitshow this offseason. 1998 I became a real fan, hence my unhealthy infatuation with that season. *Fuck Pimpleface* 2005 I understood but was upset. *They tired to keep it together as best they could cheaply* 2012 I wanted to happen *Fuck Bell, HanRam and Reyes* 2017? This shit hurts- way more than the others ever did. Stanton, Yelich, Ozuna and Realmuto and Bour had the potential to be a solid core, and deserved one more year to see what they could do. Jose doing dumb shit ruined this team- and it never recovered or even had a chance to get out from under his shadow. Next year was supposed to be that year. It really fucking sucks.... atleast I have the Mets and A's to look forward to. (Stanton in NY too, hopefully he demolishes the Judges Chambers)
  21. How much credit is he given for the Yankees success?
  22. Stanton is going to hurt more- the season he just had and the hope a new ownership brought people is going to crush this fan base. Cabrera was eating himself out of the NL until they traded him, and while great we got what many considered an amazing return for him. Stanton's contract is considered an albatross, and it's driving his value down- regardless of what he did on the field. In a few years, his contract will look like a bargain. Harper and Trout, are going to easily get 30MM + in a bidding war, and probably clear 350mm. Stanton is the highest paid now, but not for long.
