I guess Obermueller is out of the rotation? I wouldn't take him out as long as he keeps pitching well. He has pitched better than any starter other than Mitre. Wes will stay with the club in the bullpen. I like him as an innings eater out there I am in full agreement with you there. Fredi has been forced to trot out the guns in blowouts far too often.

Pirates took away a few hits with a few sparkling plays and several outs were pretty hard. No complaints from me regarding the offense. Mitre was absolutely filthy, especially with the change-up, which is something I don't see myself saying very often. Nice win and that was a nifty play by Uggla turning the double play barehanded. BUT if Amezaga at lead-off and Ramirez batting in the third spot becomes a regular thing = :thumbdown

Lowell-Gonzo-Castillo-Lee-....that's infield defense. Boone-Hanley-Uggla-Wood....WTF. . . The first one didn't work because of MONEY. The second one, sadly enough, is probably better DEFENSIVELY than Cabs-Hanley-Uggla-Jacobs. Stop living in the PAST. It isn't HEALTHY. . . Especially when following a BUSINESS.

This is all Beinfest's fault anyway, its not like we have anything else to use. Beinfest doesn't control the purse strings. the purse strings have nothing to do with acquring an outfielder this offseason/spring. Usually to acquire a player of respectable talent money must be exchanged with said player and his agent so he can provide your team with the services you seek.
