  1. http://www.milb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20130814&content_id=56920680&fext=.jsp&vkey=recap&sid=t561 Six shutout innings with 5 K's, 3 hits, 1 BB in his triple-A debut. I'm wishing him the best, maybe he can help the Angels big league club this year... doubtful.
  2. The whole lineup is awful. CHANGE
  3. Pudge looks pretty good. agreed.
  4. I would love to see the team approach some FA's in the off season at catcher, 2B, 3B, but I am also not going to be surprised if only one, or none, of those positions are shopped. Keep Brantly in the majors, send him to triple-A, either one I'm fine with. If you can sign a FA like Pierzynski, great, we can let Brantly work out his s*** in the minors. If no move there makes sense, I'm fine with him and Mathis heading into next year. Second and Third get a bit tricky. I think Dietrich has tons of potential, and I think if we're ever going to find out if he can make things happen '14 is the year. Solano has also shown he can play, and he's worth holding on to as a utility infielder. At the very least, those two can probably make a formidable platoon next year. I think Third is going to have to be where we make our biggest offensive improvement. What FA are at the hotcorner next year that will be available as a stopgap on a one-year deal that can provide some pop? Moran could be ready sometime next season, but will there be an Eric Chavez-type guy on the market? Internally, the only person that makes sense as a stopgap is Cox, who could make a nice #2 hitter getting on base and making contact, but he lacks any power. If Dietrich can provide 20 HR power next year then it's not an issue, but it really hinders on his development. Basically, I'm not wild about signing any FA because I like what we have. However, I'm also not 100% confident in what we have. The tricky part is, I think we're close to contending, just one or two impact bats away. If the internal options come through, it could happen next year, but it's very possible that doesn't happen. Man I need a drink... Our offense sucks as it is... with nobody hitting over .300, a lot more than third needs to be worked out here....
  5. With nobody hitting over .300, can't expect him to be a miracle man... but he is a bit cocky.
  6. It is and I doubt Moran will be ready before 2015, maybe he will get a late 2014 call-up. Do we just plug in Lucas and Solano in the meantime? Do we give Zack Cox a shot? If Cox plays well, it gives more time for Moran to develop and Cox can build up some trade value. The guy has a 13.4% BB rate in AA which is awesome, he has no power at all, but he has a 386 OBP and hes another lefty hitter. So, like Yelich and LoMo, he's an OBP guy and another lefty. Moran will be another one of these when he replaces Cox. Obviously there's other differences between them, but where does Cox fit into a lineup? Yelich, LoMo, Cox and Dietrich. Lefties all over the place! Add Brantly into the mix as well, ha! I guess he would be a 7 or 8 hitter, he can take his walks, get bunted over and see if Yelich can drive him in. I would assume he has a chance at the spot in spring training, the Marlins will likely also invite other older players for the chance of winning the spot. Cox would be an ideal #2 hitter in a major league lineup. Left-handed bat that can be used in hit and run situations, walks consistently, can move guys over. I think there's a good chance he will get a call in September so they can see a little bit of what he can do at the big league level. Our #2 hitters have been stopgap after stopgap this year, it would be nice if he could fill that hole temporarily next year. I could imagine a lineup something like this with that we currently have, should be able to get us by... Yelich LF Cox 3B Stanton RF Morrison 1B Marisnick CF Dietrich 2B Hechavarria SS Brantly C ohhhhh sounds delightful.
  7. Hes choking at more ABs than not.....
  8. Well thats not nice.
  9. didnt some people call this guy "Looper Pooper"?
  10. This thread was a terrible joke. Delete. wow...... this was a ridiculous idea.
  11. on the homer Jose gave up to Todd Helton: “I thought I was going to blow him up inside because he was old, Fernandez said. “I’m thinking, ‘This guy is kind of old. I know he can hit. Maybe I’ve got shot to blow it by him.’ I blew it by him in the second deck. That was pretty funny. When I came in the dugout I was kind of laughing. That might be the funniest qutoe of the year. Great game on all ends. Maybe I wasn't wrong about Yelich being the spark this team needs... Like Bonifacio.... every spark burns out, you little blogger, you.

  16. My point of view has no implications of being anything close to a snob. I was choosey with my word choice: unwelcoming. For me, an uncircumcized penis opens up room for being uncomfortable. It wouldn't chase me away and I of course would never say something to that man, but no promises I wouldn't bring it up in a chat with friends later on. After all, being circumcized or uncircumcized was most likely a decision made by his parents and it is the way it is at that point. Like Rachel said, if I have a son, I'll be sure to have him circumcized- Its a matter of preference, and quite apparantly, the whopping majority's opinion.
  17. No offense to anybody here, but, from a woman's point of view, an uncircumcised penis is a little....unwelcoming
  18. But you are blonde right? I am blonde but I am not stupid :thumbup . YAY for smart blondes! haha
