He actually held the title for 1 game, I think it was between the Marlins 61-62 game, a week or so ago, but he's probably over the eligibility requirements for good at this point. Good for Johnson. I was at the game..great game..Uggla and Cabrera hit SHOTS,and so did Glaus..some fans reacted stupid and started booing Martinez when he couldn't throw strikes..i hate it when fans do that,and they did the same thing with Kensing,and then Tankersely..idiotic fans..ooh well,Marlins have won 6 in a row,and i'm happy..And btw Uggla signed my glove after the game I think they were booing the ump

haha this board is one hell of a rollercoaster ride Joe has done a great job. He has stopped making the stupid mistakes he was making earlier in the season. He is learning as well. Doing a great job so far, but come on now. The Marlins have played great the last 21 games, but hey there's still a little under 100 games left. Let's play those first. I dont agree with the "stupid mistakes" comment. He was learning about his new ballclub AND his ballclub (for the most part) was not performing early on. He didnt make stupid mistakes. Not much has changed about Girardi's style except that his players are producing. As far as him getting mangager of the year.........The Marlins would have to win the NLCS or else he has no shot. The Love Train for the Mets will only gain more speed as the year progresses. The award is voted on before the playoffs begin

Nah, when you're ordered to hit someone, you should do it, especially when your own catcher got hit twice. Although the whole sending him to triple A was unecessary. I have to disagree with you. It would have being more than enough to chew the kid out of the public eye and leave it at that. But to that in public make him cry and then send him down to AAA is uncalled for IMO.

i like C. Schilling but i dont think he's a first ballot, i mean the guys that have much better numbers and i think more worthy than him that have not gotten in yet. Like G. Gossage, the guy use to get his save pitching 2 to 4 inns. sometimes and he was dominant and he's still waiting. Another guy is Andre Dawson, the guy was great for years on no knees and he's also waiting....And to add he has only won 10 or more games only 8 times out of 19 seasons.... Yea, but if you look into it the the 3000 k club is pretty elite the question would be is it as elite as say the 300 win club or 500 HR club

He is young and he will go through slumps. i wouldn't be overly concerned. HOWEVER if Reggie was doing this people would be saying he belongs in AA. I doubt Reggie will be see his BA dip from .310-.320 all the way down to .280 this late in the season, because first he would have to be over .300 to begin with

Tank is our closer, everything about him just screams out Closer: The way he runs out to the mound, his emotion on the mound, and his stuff is just NASTY Lets not induct Tank into the Hall of Fame just yet folks............ He's pitching very well and definitely showing that he belongs in the bigs so far. Lets give him a full month though before we DFA Martinez and retire Tank's #. Iam not taking anything away from Carlos but I would rather see him set up for Tank than having a 1st RD pick be a lefty specialist

Stop thinking about trades and stupid sh*t like that. Be happy that he gritted his teeth and got out of a huge jam. Its not stupid....It would be stupid to keep him, hopefully he gets that ERA under 3.50 and keeps converting saves. I'll never forget all we gave up to get Uggy, hopefully we can do the same. For what its worth I am happy he got us through that inning and how he's performed but you've got to think about the future over the present for the moment with this frachise
