Another arm that can be used in a trade for a position of need IMO. Tank, K-Mart, and Kensing should all get a chance to close.
June 15, 200620 yr seriously, talk about the bullpen doing a complete 180.... :blink: I mean the first few weeks we've got German and Wellemeyer walking too many batters and Herges giving up big hits and guys like Nolasco & Johnson who weren't used to being in the pen and then CMart went down. Now we've get Logan Kensing on a roll, Randy Messenger turned it around, Martinez is back healthy, Borowski's getting save opportunities & closing them out, and now Tankersley has provided a fantastic lefty option. What else can you say? :hat
June 15, 200620 yr yeah I remember Tank coming to Baton Rouge to play LSU. We rocked him pretty hard at Alex Box stadium I remember, but most other times he was downright unruly. Now its nice to have the 'Bama boy on my team!!

He's pitching very well and definitely showing that he belongs in the bigs so far. Lets give him a full month though before we DFA Martinez and retire Tank's #.

We have 3 closers on this team, Borowski is the 3rd best amongst those 3. Tank and K-Mart by far outclass Joe-Bo

Iam not taking anything away from Carlos but I would rather see him set up for Tank than having a 1st RD pick be a lefty specialist

June 15, 200620 yr I refuse to get ahead of myself with these young pitchers, especially in the pen, but it's impossible to ignore the quantum improvement over the last three weeks. Tankersley just looks fearless, and unlike some of the kids earlier in the season, he's more than willing to dialogue with his catcher rather than believing he has all the answers. I don't think I've seen him shake off a signal in his last three appearances.

June 15, 200620 yr I have never been as impressed by a rookie reliever as I have been with TANK. He get everybody out. Giardi brings him in to face a left handed batter. The opposing manager counters with a right handed batter and the TANK strikers the SOB out. What a pleasure to watch!!!
June 15, 200620 yr his stuff was absolutely filthy tnoight, he really came through suffice to say im very pleased, but I don't know if I want him at closer yet. Then again, he's better than Borowski, but so is Carlos Martinez.
