Arison interested in buying Marlins
The Heat, from top to bottom, are one of the best organizations in all of sports. They are a first class business, who treats everyone like family. They are as stable and loyal as it comes to South Florida sports teams, and have given the other teams here the perfect blueprint to success. The two championships the Marlins won are accomplishments, but the greatest day in team history would be Arison buying the team.

The Grass maybe green again soon
The only "grass may be green" thing here is that hopefully Loria is planning on selling the team. That is, and should be, the ONLY scenario. Anyone spending a dime on this team is just giving in to Loria. As a die hard fan since 93, nothing would make me happier than to see an empy Marlins Stadium come opening day 2013.

Johnson, Buehrle, Reyes, Buck, Bonifacio to Toronto
Anyone who goes to a Marlin game next year is an idiot! Season ticket holders should demand refunds, and individual ticket buyers should do the same. This organziation has lied to us, has stollen from us, and has cheated everyone countless times; ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! They dont deserve us as fans, they dont care about winning, and all they really care about is their pockets. How can MLB allow a moron like Loria to be an owner. This is a slap in the face to the fans, the city of Miami, and MLB. Ive loved this team since inception, since Hough's first pitch, multiple fire sales, and two WCs, but Im tired. They really need to take a hard look at their brothers East of them, and see how you really should run a sports franchise! And to think, the City could have used the money Loria stole for his stadium, to renovate or build a new OB for the Canes, or SunLife and the Fins.

Report: Marlins open to moving Hanley Ramirez
Would anyone be that devastated if Hanley was moved? His first few seasons were amazing, and he was on his way to a great career, but he has just been crap the past couple of seasons, and it just doesnt look like he is going to snap out of it here in South Florida. I was, still am to a degree, a big Hanley fan, but Im tired of him.

2011-2012 Florida Panthers/NHL Thread
Theodore's unwillingness to waive his NTC is whats holding up this deal. I just want this done already, one way or another.

2011-2012 NBA Thread
"Lebron to Allen, Allen for 3...and he buries it!" We'll be hearing that quite a bit next season. Its actually: LeBron to Allen for 3....KABOOM!

HR sculpture to be removed?
What would have made the piece MUCH better is if it were to come out of the ground during a home run, like the apple at Citi Field. They could have had it pop up in four stages, from tallest to shortest backgrounds, with the marlins and birds doing their thing in the end. Edit: Didnt see that someone mentioned this already.

New Stadium Pics
These pictures are unbelievable! Even with the HR feature, the stadium looks absolutely gorgeous with the roof open. Great job!

Loria planning to sell Marlins?
Regardless who wrote the story, would anyone really be upset if, oh, lets say, Mark Cuban purchased the team? If we could get a legit owner in here, with the finanacial ability to put a winner on the field every year, instead of having to swindle the MLB rules to make a profit, it would be best for the organization. Just sayin'

New Stadium Pics
We must now have a grounds crew employed by the Marlins. Anyone know if it was at Sunlife?? It also looks like there isn't much space to the right/left of 1st and 3rd base lines. Maybe in half?? So not anywhere near the foul territory. That corner should be called Bartman's Corner, in honor of our unofficial 10th man back in 2003.

Carlos Zambrano Acquired
JJ Buehrle Nolasco Zambrano Sanchez God, if they can stay healthy and consistent, that is one hell of a rotation. Not the best in the bigs, but better than anything we have had in a while. Do you really think that Anibal Sanchez is a No. 5 starter and Ricky Nolasco is a No. 3 or is that just a random listing? I'm assuming that's just a random listing I was just going by who would be in the rotation, in no particular order.

Pujols to Angels
I remember those Manny to Marlins conversations going on in South Florida then. I believe it was Big O on the radio screaming at the Marlins for not including Stanton in a deal for Manny, as it would have probably pushed up over the top.

Pujols to Angels
CJ Wilson is gone too, agreeing to a deal in principle with the Angels. Source? [A legitimate one?] @incarceratedbob **UPDATED MLB NEWS**Source: CJ Wilson has agreed in "PRINCIPLE" with Angels - Deal should be finalized in next 48Hours (Marlins made push) Trust this guy with a lot of info. He has been spot on with a lot of NHL and MLB information.

Pujols to Angels
Dwyane Wade just made his pitch to Pujols during an interview on ESPN. C'mon Albert!!!!!!!!! Really or JK? Really. He was on ESPN promoting his new shoe, and talking about the upcoming season. Right before the interview ended, they told Wade that the Marlins were hot after Pujols, and then they asked Wade why Albert should choose Miami.

Jon Heyman has St Louis meeting with Pujol's camp as of 28 minutes ago. What the hell is going on????

Pujols to Angels
@incarceratedbob is a tweeter who has a lot of inside info often. He has been right about a lot of NHL and MLB moves, and tweeted that the Marlins will present Pujols an offer between $210-225 million. He also said that if he were to accept, then the Marlins might move Hanley after, which I find hard to believe. Take it for what its worth, but he does get a lot of things right.

Marlins, Reyes agree to 6 yr/106mil deal
Sign Pujols, and all of a sudden, we have one of the top hitting lineups in the NL: Reyes Infante Hanley Pujols Stanton LoMo Would there be a better 3-4-5 set in baseball???

Marlins the main focus of "SportsNation"
I love how they have a page about the Marlins, with a video that doesnt even mention them...morons!

ESPN 30 for 30 Steve Bartman:Catching Hell
That was really quite sad to be honest. If anyone says that they wouldnt reach out for a chance to catch a foul ball, then they are liars. Its sad that people have to react to him the way they did, and how these morons think they are so bad ass, telling him to step outside the stadium. And like Heat84 just said, if Alou doesnt act like a baby, then the outcome could have been different. Karma is a bitch I guess. After watching this, I had to watch the 03 championship dvd again, just to relive the memories!

Stadium memories
What are you guys' best memories from our soon to be former home? -That Conine to Pudge throw to nail Snow. GREAT memory! -A great duel between Randy Johnson and Dontrelle in 03. -Edgar's hit! -One funny one I remember was opening day some years back. We were down, cant remember how many runs, and Lowell blasts a HR that was called foul, which lead to most of the fans throwing the fridge magnet schedules onto the field. For as crappy as the stadium was, and is, it was our home, and Im sure it means a lot to everyone. So many of us called it our second home, and while we now see the death of the Florida Marlins, and rebirth of the Miami Marlins, I still appreciate and love all those times I laughed, cried, screamed and shouted in the stadium.
