August 21, 200421 yr Who do you think will be back next year? What do you think our lineup/bullpen and starting pitching will look like? The only person I would not mind leaving is Juan Encarnacion. I never cared for him that much :confused
August 21, 200421 yr I'd like it to stay the same.I like this team, and i hope encarnacion stay's also.Next season is gonna be his breakout year, just sit back and watch it happen...
August 21, 200421 yr If we had the team we have right now from day one.... It would be a completely different story. In no way is this season over yet, but I think if we can keep 95% of this team in tact, we're gonna kick some arse.
August 21, 200421 yr who cares abotu 2005 right now? i mean really.... 521015 Obviously Hollyberry and the others who have replied to her, myself included.....Next question....
August 21, 200421 yr For sure Castillo, Lowell, Cabrera, dontrelle, and Pierre will be back. The ones whom im not sure will come back are: Benitez (WE SHOULD SIGN HIM again), Conine, Encarnacion, Pavano (we should sign him again)
August 21, 200421 yr Pavano will be back next year. That was the whole reasoning behind trading Brad Penny.

August 21, 200421 yr That roster looks pretty damn good. I'd like to see Seanez back though... And I really hope they bring Koch back for another year.

August 21, 200421 yr Out of Lo Duca, Pavano, and Benitez probably only 1 will be back. Benitez definitely won't be back.
August 22, 200421 yr Out of Lo Duca, Pavano, and Benitez probably only 1 will be back. Benitez definitely won't be back. 521124 No way.. I highly doubt that. If anything, 2 of the 3 will definitely be back. We know Pavs is staying after the Penny trade... And Loria has already said he wants LoDuca back for next season... Letting go of Benitez would be stupid as well. I think they'll work something out.. He loves it here.

We are a small market team, we are going to lose players every year, just like we did last year. That's why that LA trade will hurt us this offseason.
August 22, 200421 yr and another point, I know I've said this before. If we couldn't sign Penny how would we be able to sign Lo Duca?
August 22, 200421 yr I think we could do without spending money on Armando.. Spooney setting up Mota will be fine
August 22, 200421 yr They'll compensate another way. We may see a rookie in RF, instead of Encarnacion, which saves us another few million.. I just think they'll find a way.

August 22, 200421 yr We've got Willingham, to fill in for Lo Duca. Willy is going to be a good player in this league. We can trade Lo Duca for young cheap talent, that will be able to help us next year. Possibly fill the holes we will have in right field and 5th starter.
August 22, 200421 yr Beinfest and Loria have personally talked to LoDuca about keeping him. I think he'll be here next year.

Even then I think it will be difficult
