Theology is the study of religion.

Unless they look only into the affect of religion, probably most specifically the Catholic Church and the Protestant Reformation, on the evolution of modern Western Civilization and how it made it different from what we see in the rest of the world. That doesn't seem like a class that would be given in high school.

August 9, 200520 yr Yeah, I go to UM. I was just asking cause my high school (Archbishop Curley Notre-Dame) had a theology class called Western Civ. as well. We also had one called "Philosophy" The school gives the theology classes names/themes that somehow turn them into classes recognized by the state and by most colleges.
