I've done this twice before and the fish won both times, it's time to do it a 3rd time.

I guarantee a Marlins victory tonight, we will win this game. Bank on it.

I liken this to NLCS Game 5, some... most feeling the fish were done because it's 3-1 Cubs and to the hill goes #21, Josh Beckett. What happens? 5-0 CG Shutout and back to Wrigley. People always focus on Bartman as the reason we won the series but guess what there never is a Game 6 without Beckett's tremendous performance in Game 5 with our backs to the wall.

There's not one man I'd want on that hill tonight other than Josh. When your back is to the wall, you bring out your top gun and regardless of season or career stats -- Josh Beckett is our top gun.

Enjoy the win tonight, folks.

Not gonna happen, bub :santa (no idea what that emoticon has to do with anything)

Too little too late??

We can still get to the postseason, but there's 0 room for error now. We need to start winning some games.

I really like comparing this to NLCS Game 4. True Dontrelle got lit up then and pitched well yesterday but...

Dontrelle start puts us on brink of elimination for Sunday game and the starter, Josh Beckett.

Quotes from after Dontrelle was losing pitcher in NLCS Game 4:

"I think if you go back through the record book, there are a lot of teams that have come back,'' McKeon said. "You can't give up.''

"I wouldn't want to count us out yet,'' Willis said. "We've climbed out of tougher holes than this.''

Needing only one more win to make the World Series in 1984, they blew a 2-0 lead to San Diego in the best-of-five NLCS. Marlins manager Jack McKeon was the Padres' general manager that year, by the way.

So would he give these Marlins a little history lesson Sunday?

"I might do it,'' he said.
