The Marlins are currently only 10 games back in the loss column in the Wild Card race...

Just some food for thought.

I would just like to finish June with a winning record. And then July. Maybe even August as well.

14 games under...

Finish each month an average 5 games over .500 (June, July, August, September) and we are at 84-78. This I will take! :hat

Bring it biatch!

;)

Without a doubt you guys have been playing much better lately. Doesn't surprise me at all.

Whoa Lefty, don't go TOO far, bud.

Lefty overreacting and overrating his own team? That never happens.

Guys we still have the worse record in the NL! However since 5/21 We are 12-6...that is .667 ball. We have to be pretty proud of these baby marlins. These kidz are playing as well as anyone...Can this be an "omen"?

Before we start breaking out the champagne I suggest people take a look at the Marlins schedule (especially inter-league) for the rest of June and July.

It's going to take a monumental effort to finish this month playing .500 ball.

It will take a big effort, but it isn't unrealistic to think the fish can finish above .500 this month. The Braves come in and are struggling big time. The Jays will be tough and then we go to Baltimore, not exactly a great team and then the Yanks who are also having a rough time lately. They were just swept at home by the A's and looked bad doing it. Then we owe the D-Rays payback at home....and then the tough series against the Red Sox. I think that it is very possible to end the month with more wins than losses if our pitching keeps up the way it has. Go Marlins!

Just something to think about. Anything is possible.

The 2005 Astros record at this time was... 25-35. Something to think about. If we get somewhat close to the WC I will be very happy.

Holy crap, optimism is your friend in times like this.

I am very happy for the Marlins. They are finding their way, and I am excited to see this transition.

I'll get excited when we climb out of last place. It's still June and we're not even half way through the season.

:thumbup When we pass the Braves I will be happy. We are 5 games behind Washington and Atlanta.

Once we get (hopefully) within 10 games of .500, I'll be satisfied.

PS--how does stating a fact (10 games out in the loss column) make me overreacting and overrating my team?

If I were to say "Marlins have a great shot at the playoffs" that's one thing. But come on--I'm just backing up our strong play of late.

Don't hate--

just beat the nats and will be happy

at least the braves are slumping hugely

The big test is when this team has to go into Yankees Stadium. It may not have phazed the '03 team and won't phaze Cabs or D-Train, but the rest of these guys might be a little awed to walk into that place. This team has already made huge improvements and wouldn't surprise me to see them steal a few games here and there in Interleague play.

WE'RE GONNA SWEEP 'EM!!! (how sweet would that be?)

That would be so sweet :lol

This will be a big homestand.

With the Heat in the playoffs right now our attendance might go down. :thumbdown We have to take 2 out of 3.

I agree the Marlins are playing great lately its still a long way to go.

With the way the Heat played last night, people might get more enjoyment out of watching the Marlins. :whistle

I'll be happy to get 70 wins. The best thing about this team is you can't shatter their confidence. They went through a terrible 7-game losing streak where a majority of the losses were walk off. They didn't give up and if they continue to play like that then anything is possible. :thumbup

Only 8 games out back in the loss column. Good stuff.
