May 21, 200719 yr Maybe in comparison to his other work (I don't think it is bad at all or any sort of black eye) but 1941 is just simply a bad film in Spielberg and anyone's filmography. Yeah, I don't know what he was thinking. It's similar to Lucas and "Howard the Duck".
May 21, 200719 yr Is it true that Nestor Carobonell aka Richard Alpert on Lost was cast as the Gotham City mayor?

May 22, 200719 yr The first picture of Heath Ledger as The Joker appeared on the official Dark Knight website today:
May 22, 200719 yr Anthony Michael Hall from The Dead Zone has joined the cast. His role is "secret". The Mad Hatter? The Riddler? Hm... http://www.batman-on-film.com/batmovienews.html Lets see...Joker, Dent, possibly Scarecrow all in this movie. Shoving another villain into the movie just wouldn't work.
May 22, 200719 yr Keep in mind, Dent's more of a hero until the end. Scarecrow also has a small role from what we've been told.
May 22, 200719 yr It's a shame Maggie wasn't cast in the first place. Agreed 110%. Katie Holmes was completely out of her league. I fast-forward through any scenes with her in it. While I'm not a big fan of Maggie from a purely physical perspective [i just don't find her attractive at all], the woman can act. She actually may have won me over with her performance in Stranger than Fiction. Anyway, I think this is a good move for a number of reasons. To me, this is almost as good as killing Jar Jar Binks. :thumbup

I can't imagine him playing ANOTHER villain in this film. It's overloaded enough as it is.
June 1, 200719 yr Two stills from the movie. The 2nd one is apparently Ledger/Joker during a bank robbery.
July 22, 200719 yr Teaser with The Simpsons Movie. The Dark Knight Teaser Description?! Source: BDE July 21, 2007 Scooper 'BDE' has just sent in a big one... what looks to be a legit description of the teaser trailer for The Dark Knight that will play in select theaters with The Simpsons Movie starting July 27. Of course, if you'd rather not know a thing about the teaser until you watch it, then turn back now! I have seen The Dark Knight Teaser. I don't want to reveal everything... It starts out with the WB logo gracing the screen, followed by the DC logo and the Legendary pictures logo. The screen goes black. It opens back up as a commercial paid for by the friends of Harvey Dent. We are shown shots of him talking, making public speeches, and walking in a suit, while a deep voice comes on and talks about Harvey Dent. A generic politician commercial. What seems to be halfway through the commercial, it is interrupted by static, and blacks out. Out of nowhere a crystal clear image comes onto the screen of a blacked out man with large windows behind him. The camera slowly zooms in on him. He's talking (about what I won't say) and as he finishes he begins laughing. Lightning strikes, lighting up his face, as the laughter grows more manic. Cut to black. The Batman Begins (now The Dark Knight's bat) emblem is shown with the words The Dark Knight. Then it says Summer 2008 and has the website at the bottom. What is said... is a surprise that I must keep for now. It gave me chills. And that description gives us the chills! The Dark Knight opens in theaters on July 18, 2008. LINK: http://www.superherohype.com/news/topnews.php?id=6040 Sounds cool.
July 22, 200719 yr Sounds great. You seem to be keeping up with this better than I have so, is that fake teaser that has been prancing around YouTube with cards on a table and the Joker talking, a fake?
July 22, 200719 yr Yes. That was just a fake fan teaser that had been put together based on a teaser description rumor that had been making the rounds. Oh and for those interested, AMH IS the The Riddler.
July 26, 200719 yr The Dark Knight Teaser in Glorious Quic....well...Glorious Hand-heldness: http://youtube.com/watch?v=nb4TstBBHYE
July 27, 200719 yr warner bros took it down Yeah, just as I was about to watch it. However, it's supposed to appear before The Simpsons Movie showings, so that's another way to watch it.
July 27, 200719 yr I realize I'm apparently the only one on this site particularly into the viral marketing campaign for this movie but: http://www.whysoserious.com This'll be my last post on the subject, but if you do have an active interest check out batman-on-film.com or superherohype.com for details as they come.
July 28, 200719 yr What a lame ass teaser trailer. Take a page out of Spider-Man's book, Nolan. Let the non-comic book nerds know what the hell to expect from this movie.

July 28, 200719 yr By the way, that trailer description from a week or so ago was obviously fake. But they should have had that guy piece the whole thing together. Would have been an upgrade over this. Apparently we'll get a full length trailer around December.

I'm not sure if the other 3 are going to be released into theaters, but the Harvey Dent ad was most likely real.
