They are still alive: Burnett, Pierre, even Jack is alive to see it after a very long 1 year pass.

Question for you: Do you think anyone on that 2005 team gives a sh*t anymore about 2005?

Stop making such imbecilic polls.

Still a strong statement, they may not care, but people knoew something was wrong with that team if this team win more games.

answer: HELL NO!!

I would be more than happy with just 80 wins.

Ditto. 78-80 wins would be much more than I expected in April. "2006 will be a long season and 65+ wins will be OK". :thumbup

70+ wins and im happy. I would win a bet that was looking pretty bad after 11-31. But I think they will win between 75-81 wins.

Was it the 67 up or down bet?

It was 70 wins or better it was a bet with a friend so it means more than just the money but the money aint bad. It feels good because when we were 11-31 he said whenever I wanted I could start paying, LOL, so hopefully they do it.

The players on the 2005 team might not give a sh*t but it sends messeges to people and the league

Former Marlins might not really care as many of them were begging to leave south florida but it is still a slap in a face and a good accomplishment for the 2006 team that I'm sure they will feel good about when they hear the news.

I say know, but knowing me, after we win 2 straight ill change my mind immediately.

LOL At least you are honest. I really didn't predict any amount of wins for this season. The only thing I did predict was that this team would give us some exciting baseball and surprise alot of teams by the second half of the season. Anything better than the '98 team did was fine by me, and using that team as a standard, keeping the loss total in double digits was a goal for me.

They have far exceeded my humble expectations so far. It has been a true pleasure to make the trip to the ball park on a regular basis.

It's a possibility, but I think it's unlikely. I would probably say yes if we weren't getting swept at home, but if you look at the team over the last 3 weeks, they have been playing right around .500. They were only truly winning in June, and they would have to play that way the rest of the season to get to 83 wins, but it is not out of the question.

There is 0 chance the marlins get to .500, so I dont think they will pass last years team. It sucks because last years team had so much potential but they ended up being so crappy. I remember when we had the 1.5 game lead on houston in mid september then lost like 6 in a row or something like that and finished really far back.

The only good thing about last season is that we were in it the entire year so it was worth paying attention to the team. Most people stopped caring about this years team when they were 20 games under in may.

Set By the 04-05 Marlins Team
Yes [ 9 ] [23.08%]
No [ 28 ] [71.79%]
83 exact [ 2 ] [ 5.13%]

Maybe I should had ask before the Dodger Series when everyone was happy :plain

:lol :lol

Dont worry, your not alone.

I didnt see this coming either after that 11-31 start

We can go 20-6 the rest of the season which would give us 88 wins, to get 82 wins we would just need to go 14-12. With our pitching we should win 3 out of 4 games (.750 baseball) which is 19 wins...well 19.5 Ws
