August 8, 200619 yr http://capefish.blogspot.com/2006/08/fish-...-up-before.html That is good potential news..and nice Green Day reference in the thread title.
August 8, 200619 yr I am not keeping my hopes up but :cheer YES :arms ... So this could be it? "An announcement will be made in late September and shovels will be breaking ground in February of 2007" - That made my day right there. Hopefully its true.
August 11, 200619 yr Maybe a rumour but as it has been in the past We never really ever get positive news as rumours so Me like it!
August 11, 200619 yr I guess I'll do the honors since nobody else wants to post this: ? Hialeah Mayor Julio Robaina said he asked MLB president Bob DuPuy if baseball would help pay for a Marlins stadium. ''He said no, but that there are ways they can help,'' Robaina said, but DuPuy gave no details. Robaina continues to insist a stadium deal ''will get done,'' but there's justified skepticism. Miami-Dade County hasn't determined how much of the $100 million-plus funding gap can be covered by property taxes on a proposed industrial park. And Robaina reiterated Hialeah won't contribute its own property tax money -- which could be a deal-killer. http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sports/15229743.htm

The current update we have has to do with the City of Hialeah...not the County or the team.
