Next years Attendance

Featured Replies

Until the team starts winning on a more consistant bases the attendance will stay the same!

I think it will increase. We'll be better than we were this year, and we actually might contend for the playoffs. That's bound to bring more fans.

Decrease.

A lot of 'rope-a-doped' season ticket holders that were forced to renew this season aren't coming back next season, especially if they raise prices again (which I'm sure they will).

i think it will increase slightly if the team for the most part stays the same..

attendance will go up a good amount (this means like 20,000 fans per game) if:

a big name player comes

if a stadium gets announced in the offseason i would expect attendance to increase.. fans might want to build tenure for when the new park opens in order to get priority

Marginal attendance increase seems to be fairly likely.

If a stadium is in place and one decent acquisition is made attendance will increase. Going into the season and selling the likes of Olsen, Johnson, Hanley, Uggla, etc. is easier than selling a bunch of prospects no one really knows.

exactly...and it sure wouldnt hurt to see cabs win a batting title and JJ get the ROY...those awards would act as selling points and bring some more fans to the park...plus...we are going to be a much better team by leaps and bounds...i mean...im pretty sure than perry hill will be in han ram's jock making him a much better defender and with the continued growth of willy, jake, uggla, olivo...we are gonna be scary good next year...scary :thumbup

As the Fish continue to pursue another WS win, I hope and believe it will

go up, hopefully good news on the stadium front and a big name to add to this team that is going to win alot of games next year

Slight increase if everything stays the status quo -- up 2-4,000 per game. If the stadium deal is announced and say Cabs is signed and things look more "permanent" I think even more will come to the games for some of the aforementioned reasons. This "not knowing" keeps a lot of fans from making a solid commitment to the team. No one wants to put their heart into a team only to see it ripped under from them the next year by trades or a threatened move.

I can't think of any good possible reason the move was mentioned by the Marlins. It couldn't have helped the situation, but only hurt it.

More wins=more fans

Not in South Florida.

I know what your getting at. Increased winning doesnt result in tons of fans.

But there will be an increase with increased wins. Its common sense

it will stay the same. Despite the fact that the team is playing way above expectations, a winning team and a playoff race are what fans look for. Also the stadium will be the same and there won't be to many new faces or so. Until we get a new stadium and the kids start playing like playoff contendors next year, to many it's no more then 20 year old kids playing with the 500 mark :confused

There are obviously other factors involved that have been mentioned but I agree with you about some of those season ticket holders who feel duped. Even if they still like the team there are some who will not renew because they feel they were deceived. I spoke to a couple at the stadium one day who told me they really like this team but they have no intention of renewing as a matter of principle.

I'm thinking along the same lines here. But I think a slight increase. Still under 15K a game. Breaking ground on a new pond will help because people will want to be in on the ground floor of that but still...
