October 6, 200322 yr Man, there are going to be so many brawls in the stands in PPS this weekend. Went there last year for the Bears-Fins Monday night game. It was bad. I'll never go there for another football game ever. I hope it's not as bad for this series. Don't stoop to stupid Cub fan level. If you ignore them it pisses them off even more. October 6, 200322 yr Author This is quite interesting how Marlins and White Sox fans have bonded here in the common cause of rooting against the Cubs. Sure, we rooted for the Braves to beat the Cubs in the NLDS, but we never formed any kind of alliance with them like we have here with the Fighting Fish. That is probably because, as someone else pointed out, there are many similarities between White Sox and Marlins fans. GO FISH!!!

Unfortunately, they have one key thing we'll never have: the resources of Tribune Co. to promote themselves. :angry

With all the hope of a Cubs-RedSox World Series most of the media (& I'm sure the networks) seem to be hoping for, it's nice to have some fans, even if it is just they're playing the hated Cubs. Marlins have no trouble at all being the underdog, they relish the role of the Giant-killers. I've always liked the White Sox actually, it's too bad they fell a little short this season.

October 6, 200322 yr I was so glad to see the Big Hurt have a monster year again. That dude is an animal. The reason for all this commraderie (sp?) is because we LOVE OUR UNDERDOG TEAMS. Its easy to be a Yankee or Braves fan since they win all the time but so what, thats lame as hell. I am SAVORING every little morsel of this postseason and I will never forget a minute of it. October 6, 200322 yr btw- Do you guys get irked when people (sportscenter) call the Sox the Pale Hose or do you like that? I call the Sox the Pale Hose all the time... What does irk me (and most Sox fans, I would assume), is when SportsCenter refers to the Red Sox as "the Sox."
October 6, 200322 yr Remember, we are an NL club and always have been. So when we here on the board speak of NL teams, we call them by the city. When we speak of an AL team, we speak of the nickname usually. So when we say Chicago, don't get offended, we mean the Cubs. The AL team is the White Sox. Now the Scrubbies pitchers are bad defensively so we will work the bunt. The field at Wrigley is also thicker so the ball travels slower and allows for them to get on base before the play more than at other ballparks.
