well since u guys love hating on me cause im canadien..i thank you for taking notice of me at least :D but anyway we got off toa good start and the soft lefty got us again.. dontrelle was better and just got flared to death in the sixth..... we didnt play poorly but we didnt play that well....we need to get on more than a 3 game win streak

Please stop platooning Linden.

Balls just didn't fall for us. We did pretty well at the plate against Davis, got his pitch count up quick. But ball just didn't fall our way.

Dontrelle Willis:

6.2ip 9h 4er 2bb 4k

Most of those hits and runs off bloop shots.

I wonder what changed. :whistle

meh anytime Linden and Joe Borchard get ab's in the same game your probably going to lose..Mitre tommorow to make things better.

Treanor is the second coming of Jesus.

Sanchez.

Yeah, D-Train seems to be slowly getting back on track. Hopefully he does even better next start when America is watching.

we played well and played better than Arizona. they got half their runs off bloops and loops. while we crushed some balls right at people. that's baseball. we benefited from this luck yesterday.

and wtf was fredi doing in the 9th? i would have gone hermida, treanor, wood. not linden, hermida, and freakin joe borchard. linden look awful today and treanor's hitting well. and wood is better than .198 borchard.

I'm assuming he wanted 2 consecutive lefties bating, but to leave Linden in was just trash

I think I hate Fredi

You're not alone.

wonderful news

at least he started treanor

nice assist cody ross

nice shot jake

miller should've come in the game before the 4th run ever scored

mitre will dominate tomorrow

Linden's four F*%#ing strikeouts looking is just unacceptable and to top it off with Borchard below the Mendoza line up there as the last hope or more like no hope striking out too. Willis battled and looked better than I've seen from him in at least a month.

yea i didnt like that Linden had 4 strikeouts all looking. i felt that Hermida should have least pinchit for him instead of Treanor.

Dontrelle looked better, but he still gives it back way too much.

I'd love to know Dontrelle's ERA with a lead, and Dontrelle's ERA in the innings immediately following his team scoring.

Also, it's nuts that Hermida is in a quasi-platoon with Linden, just a ridiculous waste.

FWIW, here're Hermida's lefty righty splits

V LHP: .283/.317.467/.784 (60 AB's)

V RHP: .221/.335/.407/.742 (145 AB's).

That may be even more bizarre than Hammer's ineffectiveness against lefties, because normally left-handed batters have a greater advantage against righties than right-handers do against lefties.

I think not having hanley in the lineup was the difference in this game. He would have provided the little more offense we needed. Get well soon HanRam.

Linden: My new hero

It can't be easy to stike out looking 4 times in one game! Is that a record?

Post game, Dontrelle was saying how he was having fun out there for a change. I'm thinking this year, he feels he needed to carry the team on his shoulders and that might have gotten to him. This was a good transition start going into San Fran andd I hope he can get back to his solid quality starts like in years past.

That's the thing that frustrated me, giving the lead back right after we took it. And the fourth run AZ got was with two outs, another pet peeve of mine. Hard to put to much blame on him with the bloop hits and such, but still....

And also not getting that bunt down to move the runner over in the 6th or 7th (can't remember which).
