Marlins to Air on ESPN this weekend

Featured Replies

On sportscenter they announced they have added 2 Bonds games... aka 2 Marlins games

10pm vs SF Friday

9pm vs SF Sunday

Friday we will probably get local FSNFlorida

Sunday will be ESPN nationwide

looking for an official web link.

yup just heard the same on SC...hopefully Hanley can bring back some sanity to the lineup

We better not suffer from any brain farts on national t.v. Who is pitching those days?

RVH / Willis Zito/Cain

Scheduled Starters:

Vanden Hurk vs. Zito (Fri.)

Willis vs. Cain (Sat.)

Mitre vs. Morris (Sun.)

I kinda was hoping we'd beat Lincecum 1-0 but he struck out 20 of us...

oh well... some pretty pitching matchups there

so sunday's game is now at night and we get screwed out of hearing rich and tommy for national idiots? raw deal, hope barry breaks it before sunday

really? i suppose it could be maybe more authentic hearing it from them. rich and tommy's call wont be the highlight played over and over again.

but jon miller and joe morgan, ugh.

ah... forgot about Joe Morgan

Miller is cool though...

that being said I'm not a big fan of our guys to begin with

I thought it was Friday and Saturday's games that were added? Sunday is a day game.

Meanwhile, ESPN added the Giants' home games Friday and Saturday against the Florida Marlins to the network's schedule. ESPN also will provide live cut-ins or short turnaround highlights of Bonds' at-bats during all Major League Baseball programming.

Friday: FSN Florida, FSN Bay Area, & ESPN

Saturday: FSN Florida, KTVU, & ESPN

i like tommy a lot. i feel that he's extremely knowledgeable about the game and its history and always chooses his words carefully. maybe almost too much sometimes, but tommy doesn't just babble like some other color commentators. he thinks before he speaks, and speaks with a purpose.

when rich first started, he was pretty dreadful and had HUGE shoes to fill - len kasper (what a wonderful man). but i think rich has improved a lot each year and is alright. he still isn't great at judging balls off the bat but he puts emotion into his work and has good historical knowledge for his age.

of course, they both are pretty much always either too complimentary or unwilling to criticize, but they work for the team, so that's what you're always gonna get

What the hell is a ginks?

Nolasco was the worst pitcher from last year's rotation, and showed nothing this year to warrant even playing over Olsen.

Sounds right. They said 9:05 Sunday and I questioned it. This means Rich and Tommy all weekend! sweet.

nice

Is Saturdays Game on National TV????

I hope it is and hopefully :crossfingers Willis can pitch a gem, so we can showcase him. Then again if he gets rocked like he usually does in SF his value will drop to an ultimate low.

Please pitch a great game

ughhh ESPN needs to get the Sunday game so I can watch that day :-(

Man i was hoping to See RVH but i'll see Willis again and unfortunately the past few times i've seen him pitch here in SF he's been shelled. So I wouldn't be suprised to see Bonds hit one on Saturday.

Not according to Thursday's PBP. Fox wanted the game but the Giants nixed the deal because they said it was too much of a hardship on their ticket holders. Good for them.

And for you stats guys... Bonds is 1-3, 4BBs, and 0 dingers vs Willis. But I believe Willis has allowed the most HRs on the team this year and if memory serves me well seems to usually get shelled in SF. Bonds has never faced RVH or Mitre (our advantage IMO) and has only seen Bennie out of our pen, going 0-5 with a walk. Mitre is the type of pitcher I personally would rather see face Bonds and RVH kinda makes me cringe thinking of watching that match up.

IMO the record gets broken this week end, and probably vs Willis. And just for the record... I can only wish that Hawk had made the HOF this vote because right now I would be on a plane into Syracuse to stay with my folks and make the "short" drive to Cooperstown to join our commish this week end and not even be bothered with watching this "historic event."
