fanofthefish
Kenny wanna go play for a team that's not going to make the playoffs and give you, yes you Kenny Lofton a 15 year plus veteran less than $ 1 Million? Anymore to this argument. Lofton is not playing for pride he plays for dough and for a chance at a Ring. Like the idea but never ever gonna happen. Rabbethan
1 year deal.. can anyone argue against it? Can you argue for it? Unless you mean Kenny Lofton the pitcher, and not the old dude, I don't see how.
all black marlins hat
I'm happy with Ross and Amezaga filling the void for now. Who ever says Amezaga isn't a good defensive CF is retarded.

MarlinsLou
He has batted .825 against RHP the last 2 years and can still play adequate D. It would be amazing to get him. He's a natural platoon partner for Cody, and it would leave Amezaga as an infielder where he belongs. It would also allow us to push Hanley second so he has more RBI chances because of that slugging, and allow us to not even think about rushing Maybin. The question is, does Kenny want to play for a non playoff contender and risk being traded July 31st? It's not if he can't help us or not. UCFMarlinFan
yea... i figured. but, where i come from (florida), when you say someone batted so-and-so, it usually is refers to his BA. Â mental note made. thanks for the clarification.
Tee Ball Bunt Machine
Does Kenny Lofton have a lot of job offers these days? I'd entertain the idea of it if the price is right, but even then I'm not sure who I want to send down to make room for Lofton. But there's not a huge need for Lofton at this point IMO. If he has a lot of demands there's not much point in getting into it. Afterall, if he was actually worth what he was asking there'd be 5 teams willing to give him more. PBCMarlinsFan
Get Barry Bonds instead. Great rolemodel for the kids! :lol Truly. What would be the point? Drawing more negative attention to the Marlins? Turning the Marlins clubhouse into the Barry Bonds (freak)show? A few more wins? Is Bonds the difference maker that puts us in the playoffs? And where do you put him? Just a bad, bad idea.

Nny
Considering Lofton declined the Devil Rays, he'd probably laugh at us.
EricWiener
Not that I think it's a good idea, or even remotely likely.... Lofton Ramirez Hermida Willingham Jacobs Uggla McPherson Treanor Doesn't look too bad, and it goes Leftie / Rightie all the way down....
