6-27 Post game

Ricky. Wow. 8 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 9K.

119 pitches, 85 strikes.

That was Beautiful. And he looked like he had another inning in him, but it's always better safe than sorry.

After 1st inning, Nolasco & Treanor combination had a good work.

Treanor is our priority catcher. No doubt about it.

and, a couple of nice defense helped Ricky's outstanding job.

Let's FORGET ABOUT Horrible Interleague series.

We didn't have horrible interleague series...we did horrible against the Rays. You also have to consider the Rays got to face our #4 and #5 IN BOTH SERIES. Although...we didn't face Kazmir, so it works both ways.

Fact is we went 1-5 against the Rays (horrible) and 4-5 against the other AL teams (meh).

Nolasco continues to impress.

Probably my favorite pitcher on the staff right now.

I'm glad they didn't give up on him this season after some early struggles.

and some decent D. :o

There was a Mike Jacobs glove sighting tonight!

I admit that I was cringing when I saw Nolasco batting in the bottom of the seventh having already gone over 100 pitches. I mean, last time I checked dude was 2nd in the league in PAP. I had a terrific time at the game. Nice to get the win, but I really feel that Fredi should consider giving Ricky his next start off. He's still young, and going over the 100 mark has consistently harmed pitchers eventually.

The only two times I cringed tonight was during the 5th and 6th innings when I had to endure Samson's voice and when I saw Kevin Gregg warming up.

Yeah, I'm pretty scared we won't have Nolasco or Pinto next year because of injuries.

The news about Tommy reached me too late. Had I known before, I might have actually stayed home to watch the game. That's how amusing I find Samson. Was he on fire tonight? :p

No, but I wish someone would set him on fire.

:lol touche !!!

Even with this win, our offense has been really stagnant in the last week or so.

Were going to remain around .500 unless our bats start to come alive and its going to be hard to do against Webb.

They've beaten him before and they can beat him again! :thumbup

1 game out~!

WOOOOOOO, and wer gonna be tied for the division tomorrow after the phillies lose and the marlins win.

I'm pretty sure Nolasco threw 130+ pitches a few weeks ago. He's definitely capable of going deep into games.

Obviously he is capable of it, the problem is the future harm these kind of outings might cause.
