February 16, 200917 yr BOO YA! I know, not real life. But love the love from ESPN He also mentioned his bold prediction as the marlins contending, not winning, the NL East. Still, Gammons mentioned how we have a chance to have the best rotation in the NL, and most people don't care to look into depth within our team. I love to see somebody finally giving some thought and looking into our team for once.o
February 16, 200917 yr The only man on this plannet in the Way of Hanley and an MVP Award is Albrt Pujols or Maybe Pedrioa but i doubt he puts up similar numbers.
February 16, 200917 yr Ummm, how is Dustin Pedroia in the way of Hanley's MVP chances? Am I missing something here?
February 16, 200917 yr Ummm, how is Dustin Pedroia in the way of Hanley's MVP chances? Am I missing something here? He just got traded to the Marlins for Dan Uggla

February 16, 200917 yr You guys didn't see the disclaimer? It said Peter Gammons was drunk at the time he made the prediction.

February 16, 200917 yr You guys didn't see the disclaimer? It said Peter Gammons was drunk at the time he made the prediction. Oh thats great no wonder he said the mets might actually make the playoffs. :shifty I'm glad he was drunk because he was talking crazy there.

February 16, 200917 yr You guys didn't see the disclaimer? It said Peter Gammons was drunk at the time he made the prediction. Mad because Hanley is twice the player Jose Reyes is?
February 16, 200917 yr You guys didn't see the disclaimer? It said Peter Gammons was drunk at the time he made the prediction. Mad because Hanley is twice the player Jose Reyes is? yep, I clearly remember marlins fans singing the same tune about how much better cabrera was then wright and look how that turned out. Hanley won't even be a SS for that long so I don't gotta worry about comparisons between a SS and a corner player.

Cabrera is better that Wright, he is just over in another league enjoying his "I'm better than David Wright-ness"

Especially the mediocre Jose Reyes.
February 16, 200917 yr I think it would also really depend on how well he transitions into the 3rd slot as opposed to leading off.
February 16, 200917 yr Predicting Hanley to win NL MVP is like predicting Ryan Howard will be the homerun king this season. It's, like, duuuurrr Hanley is the best player in baseball. A SS that's a threat to lead the league in wOBA is an extremely valuable (MVP), player.

I am sorry but how in any shape way or form is wright better then cabrera? oh and Hanley= Best player in baseball
February 16, 200917 yr Hate to agree with Starbrownies, but he's right. I don't see how, right now, Miguel Cabrera is better than David Wright. Cabrera has turned into a DH. Wright is very good, both offensively and defensively. Hanley is also NOT the best player in baseball...although, he is the best SS in the game.
February 16, 200917 yr Pujols is the best player in baseball right now. It's gonna be tough for Hanley to beat him in MVP votes.
February 16, 200917 yr Erick, who would you say is the better than Hanley Ramirez right now? You could argue Arod is better. K's less hits for more power and can run. A lot of people say Pujols and hes got a good glove and probably the best bat but the fact that he cant run i think takes him out of the question of whos the best overall player in the game.
February 16, 200917 yr Pujols is the best player in baseball right now. It's gonna be tough for Hanley to beat him in MVP votes. He might be the best hitter in baseball but not player.
