Posted April 26, 200916 yr Five losses in a row and tomorrow we face the Walter Johnson of the National League (at least to the Marlins), Jaime Moyer. Maybin is hitting .208, Boner was a one week wonder, Nolasco has been struggling, most of our bullpen is crap, Hanley is dogging it, Fredi is a f***ing idiot. What else could go wrong? Maybe we could play the Nationals 100 more times this year? :thumbup

April 26, 200916 yr This team would be alright if Nolasco was struggling, but the bullpen was alright. Of course that's not the case, so we have both instead. That equals a lot of losses.

With all the ridiculous moves made by them this offseason, you think there would have been a masterplan better than throwing a bunch of never-was guys out in the bullpen and putting guys like Bonifacio and Maybin out there when they really weren't ready. I'm just glad I've been too busy to watch any of the games the last two weeks.

With all the ridiculous moves made by them this offseason, you think there would have been a masterplan better than throwing a bunch of never-was guys out in the bullpen and putting guys like Bonifacio and Maybin out there when they really weren't ready. I'm just glad I've been too busy to watch any of the games the last two weeks. They have to take some blame, as they were content to let half of the bullpen walk (I'm not even counting Gregg, who we knew was gone anyway because he was going to make a ton of money). But losing guys like Waechter, Nelson, and Rhodes for maybe $2-3 million COMBINED and then trying to replace them with guys who do not have a great track record (Kensing, Penn, Badenhop, Lindstrom, Pinto). Our newer additions have been alright except for Penn now (he gave up 4 runs a little while ago in 1 inning), but eventually they could all fall to Earth as well. You would have thought that going into this season, with a projected bullpen like the one we had, the FO would make SOME other move besides getting Penn for Andino.

It has been posted many times around these boards what those guys actually signed for instead of this rediculous amount you keep bringing up. And the circumstances around those signings. So this time go look them up yourself and maybe it will sink in. If not, that s/n really needs to be changed. BTW "Some other move besides getting Penn for Andino"? You mean something along the lines of Jake for Leo? And who knows, besides themselves, what other moves they were trying to make and couldn't pull off.

Small winning streak and watch the overall flavor of posts around here change. The last week has been both disappointing and heartbreaking. Some folks just take things to the extreme. Others realize we weren't going to go 161-1, we would have losing streaks just like every other team, and it's only April.

I was just as rough on Miller as I am on Maybin. To those who say I complain way too much, good luck finding me complaining about Cody, Jorge, Ricky, Dan, etc.
