Phillies defeat the Marlins 5-3.

Miller: 6 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 4 BB, 4 SO

2B: Ross (12)

too bad we didn't have hanley hitting there instead of helms with the game on the line. a very solid outing by miller i'm starting to believe in him and his "potential"

Too bad we had to wait till the 9th to see any life. Need to come back and win tomorrow.

Fredi is to blame here. STOP CHANGING THE FREAKING LINEUPS THAT ACTUALLY WORK!!!!!!! I think it's safe to say that all of Marlins fans are tired of seeing Bonifacio.

I was hoping Wes would tie it or give us the lead there for two reasons:

1. The obvious- so that the Marlins could win the game.

2. To make the people who said this game was over and even posted a post game thread feel absolutely awful about themselves and what little faith they have in "their" team.

0-1 since boni's return.

Also, I really wouldn't call that 9th inning "rally" us fighting back. That was a botched double play ball by howard and a lot of balls by phillies pitching. What did we have, one hit?

We also ended it in marlins fashion: a strike 3 swing at a ball.

How did Andrew look tonight? Was he shakey or in control?

Nice to see the Fish try to come back in the 9th. Hopefully we could take the series tomorrow and head over to NY ( :barf ).

Three solid outings by Miller, too bad Hanley had to f*** up the game.

When is he moving to the outfield already? :banghead

1. Crap the tablesetter.

2. Andrew looks good after 1st inning.

3. I hope Hanley would not be serious.

4. Leadoff Boni? - I say, NO

A giant tease at the end there.

welp, that walk boni took assured him another 25 games in the lineup. The phillies probably did it on purpose.

Lineup should be

CF De Aza(or Maybin)

LF Hermida

SS Hanley

1B Cantu

C Baker

2B Uggla

RF Ross

3B Coghlan

P

If we trade uggla, I would love:

CF DeAza

LF Hermida

SS Hanley

1B Cantu

C Baker

RF Ross

3B Helms

2B Coghlan

Pitcher

the 1st and 8th can change, the personal is the one that needs to start IMO. Solid defense, and no doubt better hitting.

I agree, we need Bonifacio out of the lineup. They guy is a joke at the lead-off spot

Vs Lefties:

LF - Coghlan

RF - Hermida

SS - Hanley

1B - Cantu

2B - Uggla

3B - Helms

CF - Ross

C - Paulino

Vs. Righties:

3B - Coghlan

C - Baker

SS - Hanley

1B - Cantu

2B - Uggla

RF - Hermida

LF - Gload

CF - Ross

is that too much too ask from fredi. i don't hate bonifacio like most of the others here but he doesn't deserve to start the way he's playing especially hitting leadoff. coghlan had 2 hits hitting leadoff yesterday so why not try him there more often.

Dear offense, don't wait until it's the 9th to score runs.

I'd rather have Gload in RF and Hermida in LF

Hanley's been the team's best defensive infielder this year. He continues to improve.

SS Hanley

1B Cantu

C Baker

RF Ross

3B Helms

2B Coghlan

Yes.

Is Maybin ready yet? Can we switch him and Boni?

why are you all you guys so impressed with the "comeback"?? It was a botched double play on a bad throw by howard and lots of balls by the phillies pitching. There were 2 failed chances a clutch hit and we ended with the Marlins MO; a strike 3 swing at a ball out of the zone. I don't find this reassuring at all and would hardly call it our offense coming to life.

miller was good but the offense was not and we made blanton look amazing.

a game that we really couldve won and we can thank hanley for the two unearned runs that are obviously the difference in the game.

im sure fredi will just applaud the "effort".

Yes, very encouraging that we managed to score ZERO runs and strike out 11 times against a scuffling pitcher who until tonight was allowing an over-300 BAA.

Super.

This team is shaping up to be my all-time least favorite edition of the Marlins. There were teams with less talent in the past, but they at least played their hearts out.

DeAza is pretty crappy himself, its why I giggle to myself when people suggest for him to leadoff. As I have stated many times, he is for the most part the same exact player as Bonifacio.

Replacing Bonifacio with DeAza would be a lateral move.
