Posted August 13, 200915 yr Marlins lose 6-14. Can't win them all. Just gotta go for the series win tomorrow. Good effort from the offense early on though.
August 13, 200915 yr I'm really getting frustrated with this starting pitching. This will be our downfall. So much for the FO getting worried about errors. This season has been such a tease. Will the Real Ricky show up?? Will Volstad show up??? Really frustrating.
August 13, 200915 yr It was a good winning streak which could have been longer if we didn't have our troubles in D.C. but hey that's baseball. Nolasco didn't look good out there, he couldn't find his release point early and then kep leaving some pitches right over the plate and the Astros capitalized on his mistakes. Offense was pretty good again tonight although we could have scored more runs in the inning we had the bases loaded 0 outs but in the end it wouldn't have mattered. The Bullpen has to be spent so we need a solid at least 6 inning outing tomorrow from West and we could have Sanches pitch an inning, Meyer pitch an inning and Leo can close it out. Let's get it done tomorrow and hope the Pirates can beat Colorado so we can have momentum going into the weekend series.
August 13, 200915 yr After the game, Tim Wood was optioned to AAA. This is probably for another Bullpen arm, could be anybody, Martinez, Hensley just someone that could throw a few inning tomorrow if West can't get through 5.
August 13, 200915 yr After the game, Tim Wood was optioned to AAA. Not much choice, we need to call up another pitcher for West's start.
August 13, 200915 yr A pair of 3-run homers gave us crucial. Wish the Closer Lindstrom? You are so pathetic. Don't dream it ever again. CRAP.
August 13, 200915 yr A pair of 3-run homers gave us crucial. Wish the Closer Lindstrom? You are so pathetic. Don't dream it ever again. CRAP. I said this in the game thread. I honestly believe that if they finally have him mix in a splitter orslider to throw 1st pitch that Matt can be a dominant relief pitcher. If he get's it over like he did today it keeps hitter on there heels because they know that they can't just sit on that hard fastball.
August 13, 200915 yr We need starting pitching help. Volstad is getting worn out and we have 2 question marks at the 4 and 5 spot. Plus Nolasco was atrocious today ina game where we REALLY needed him to go late in the game. Doug Davis?
August 13, 200915 yr West is starting tomorrow? Let's how he can get to 5 innings. He'll get there but with how many runs given up?? Over under is 5.

Plus Nolasco was atrocious today ina game where we REALLY needed him to go late in the game. Doug Davis? It has been said that the Brewers have claimed him and like Rab told me earlier if they don't claim him then the Cubs would probably get him.
August 13, 200915 yr Let's face it... Ricky Nolasco's 2008 season was a fluke. Disgusting game, had me rooting for Matsui to reach his milestone.
August 13, 200915 yr Author Let's face it... Ricky Nolasco's 2008 season was a fluke. Disgusting game, had me rooting for Matsui to reach his milestone. No....it wasn't.
August 13, 200915 yr Let's face it... Ricky Nolasco's 2008 season was a fluke. Disgusting game, had me rooting for Matsui to reach his milestone. Very nice.
August 13, 200915 yr Nolasco had a horrendous outing He had been on the money last few outing we just have to hope he shakes it off We absolutely need him
August 13, 200915 yr A forgetable day for Nolasco. I was really counting on him to save the pen and he layed a freaking egg. At least the offense is still scoring runs. We need the win tommorow going into the Col series. We really need to take that series. I believe JJ starts the first game so that should be a good start. How bout one of you other starters step up. Looking at you Voly.
August 13, 200915 yr Let's face it... Ricky Nolasco's 2008 season was a fluke. Disgusting game, had me rooting for Matsui to reach his milestone. Hahaha Thanks I needed a good laugh after today's game.
August 13, 200915 yr Let's face it... Ricky Nolasco's 2008 season was a fluke. Disgusting game, had me rooting for Matsui to reach his milestone. Other than the fact he went 6-2 with a 2.58 ERA in his past 11 or 12 starts. Obviously he was appalling tonight but it happens to the best of them. Hopefully he bounces back next time out. I'm just worried about our bullpen arms considering we are in the midst of a lengthy spell without a day off.
August 13, 200915 yr why tonight was there randomly 21,122. $7.90 Infield Box Tickets... Yep we've had a couple of games with a good number of fans on the Wednesday 7.90 games. It's a great deal because you buy the tickets online for $7.90 with a 5 dollar convenience fee which is basically 14 dollars for tickets that usually cost 40 to 60 dollars.
August 13, 200915 yr Haha one of my friends on facebook just joined the Jeremy Hermida sucks group. My patience with him is running thin. That said, it was all about Nolasco and the big egg he laid today. When your offense scores 6 runs, and you are not even remotely close to winning that game, something's very wrong. All will be forgotten, however, if we club the sh*t out of the Astros tomorrow. Series sweep here we come!
August 13, 200915 yr ii was mad but it only 1 game just g2 get the series iwn form each game and sweep the phils rest of season we good.... we bad news bear....thats right im going for that lurry so watch out! lol
