January 28, 201016 yr Why don't they just change the whole team to JUST orange right NOW!? Making it so obvious they like the color, geez... that looks horrible. Don't even get me started with the slogan, who comes up with such a horrible job?
January 28, 201016 yr It's bad but it's bad every year. It's not much worse than any of the previous ones were. They should have made it "At least we aren't the Pirates."
January 28, 201016 yr I like that CC, JJ, and Hanley pics are on the slogan. The orange is not too bad...
January 28, 201016 yr i dont like the slogan its so damn cheesy. couldnt they come up with something more competitive and classy.
January 28, 201016 yr I like that CC, JJ, and Hanley pics are on the slogan. The orange is not too bad... Yeah, I'm loving them on the cover. But seriously.... are they competing for the 'Most Corny, Awkward-Sounding Slogan' ? I think some of us on the board should give 'em some Slogan 101 pointers. "Breaking New Ground"..now THAT'S where it's at! :thumbup

January 28, 201016 yr You know what adds to the badness of it all? Check this: Florida Everblades Site Look on the right side of the page. Their slogan is apparently "Serious Hockey! Serious Fun!" lol. And enough with the orange already. We pretty much know teal is going to die in 2012, can't they let us enjoy it for a few more seasons? Plus the latest whispers I've heard is that orange won't even be one of the new team colors. Don't know how accurate that is but still... Apparently Loria just hates teal so much that rather than use it, it's preferable to over-emphasize the most obscure color the team has(the laces on a baseball in a logo the team rarely, if ever, uses anymore). Glad there is no orange on this site
January 28, 201016 yr i love the direction the team is going in but when it comes to miami marlins and changing the colors....ill pass. i really think some sort of petition should be made to prevent the color changes since we already cant stop the horrible sounding Miami Marlins. Even Florida Marlins of Miami sounds better.
January 31, 201016 yr I was just on the Marlins' MLB.com site, and I noticed a new banner slogan. Not sure if this is going to be the official slogan for the 2010 season, but typically that's the case. The new slogan appears to be: 'Florida Marlins: Serious Fun. Get in on it!' I'm not liking it.
February 2, 201016 yr Am I the only fan of the name change? I like the Miami Marlins especially since the stadium will be in Miami where Miami is fronting some of the cash. As for the slogan and the constant use of orange, I care very little for either. The color orange is ugly and too reminiscent of everything I hated in Sunlife Stadium and the slogan is just cheesy and weird sounding.
February 2, 201016 yr I work at a TV station and whenever I see a bad, unimaginative national ad, I remind everyone in the production booth that whoever came up with that makes more money than everyone in the room combined. This feels like one of those moments.

February 2, 201016 yr Well, I direct newscasts, and let's see, what were our top stories....... Possible gang-related shooting, hostage situation (Keep in mind this is central Nebraska, not even Lincoln or Omaha), Haiti, possible $200 million shortfall in the state budget.......... Yeah, really happy stuff.
