W: Johnson (2-1) CG, 12 Ks, 117 pitches (82 for strikes), 3-4, 3 RBIs

L: Latos (1-2)

2B: C Ross (5); J Cantu (8)

HR: H Ramirez (2); D Uggla (5)

Great day for Marlins fans. We win 10-1, JJ fans 12, Stanton hits 3 HRs.

JJ with a great game. Hopefully this is him coming outta his slump.

Also what a play by Barden. That better be a web gem.

JJ is the offensive AND pitching FOTG.

Barden wins defensive FOTG though haha.

Marlins win!

For his last 3 starts: 21 IP, 12 hits, 5 walks (.81 WHIP), 24 K, 4 ER (1.71 ERA), 1.55 GO/FO.

That's a beautiful thing.

This has to be a record of some kind. Having a CG 1 run 12 K game, plus going 3-4 at the plate with 3 RBIs has to be unheard of.

Lincecum had a similar game about a week ago offensively but I doubt he had a complete game or 12 K's.

LMAO @ your sig, floridafly

In a day where JJ fanned 12, I still have to give props to the hitters who put up a whole lot of runs today. So I'm gonna give the FOTG to our best hitter and vote for JJ.

x2, although I would prefer if it were a little smaller so scrolling through your posts didn't take so long :lol

117 pitches, up by 9.

I was at the game, he wasn't stressing. But why not work in Sanches his first game back in a real low pressure situation? JJ really needed to pitch those extra 15 pitches? It's a long season Fredi and Johnson had a big innings jump last year.

I was thinking this as early as the 6th or 7th. And JJ really lost gas at the end of the 2009 season. This would have been a perfect time. And once he lost the shutout, there was no need.

I have made my decision. I will change my username to dim (MUST BE LOWERCASE DAMNIT!)

Go for it. I feel so much lighter.

I thought about Sanches too and how this would be a great game for him to come in and finish the game. Once JJ gave up the shutout let Sanches throw the ninth.

That's a tad short.

muchos gracias.

Josh Johnson fue muy perfecto hoy en dia. (I must've screwed up somewhere in here).

Poor Mat. Great game by JJ. Looks like he's back on track.

muchos gracias.

esta noche, I believe.

Disclaimer: I'm white.

I'm just concerned about our Table-setters.

Maybin's K% is getting higher.

Coghlan still hit below .200.

Even so, we didn't have suitable players as table-setters among minor and major.

jj was at his best tonight it good to see their send home early sunday so all rest help him

JJ pitched great and I'm just so hopeful that we'll get our 1-2 punch of Johnson and Nolasco both really firing this year. Something like we had in the second half of 2008, but let's have it for all of 2010.

We scored a lot of runs and got a lot of hits too, but let's hope we can still squeeze out some runs to win this series and maybe even get a sweep. I'd still love to see Coghlan really get going, but there's hope.

Beautiful to see JJ back in 09 shape. And the offense!

I really don't understand the whole "JJ was struggling" thing. Obviously he was awesome tonight, and he finally got really deep into a game (going the whole game), but his last 2 starts before this one were quality starts, including a game against the Reds where he struck out 10.

I like what Hanley said before the game tonight..."don't worry about me." There are certain guys you, truly, don't have to worry about. JJ is one of them.

I had no problem with JJ going the distance. He pitched with such ease and was still throwing 95 in the 9th. Plus JJ's first couple of starts he struggled a tad bit so this will definitely be a confidence booster.
