BUNT

Staats might come out of the booth if a guy bunted for a hit. not to mention Garza can lose it emotionally a times.

Nast pitch to Laird.

The year of the pitcher indeed. Wonder how many we will have by the end of the season. I'm thinking at least 1 more.

That's all he had? That's how he reacts? I'm disgusted.

Honestly. I was expecting some foaming at the mouth and perhaps a bit of tears from his lacky.

Why is MLB Network on such a delay?

I'm flipping between MLB Network and Extra Innings, and EI is like 30 seconds ahead.

the game was on espn as well. btw, what feed is mlbn airing?

Wow, I passively watched the first half of this game and then left for dinner, turning it back on when I got back. I didn't know at either time it was a no-hit bid until I saw a thread here, then a sportsline alert.

Congrats to Matt Garza. Watched the game from the 5th inning on (saw the grand slam). Hell of a game by both Garza and Scherzer, but only one could make history.

It's nice to see the Rays finally on the RIGHT side of history after getting no hit once and perfect gamed twice the last two years.

They had the Rays feed.

I watched the Rays feed for the last three outs. I flipped to MLBN to see what they had but were showing the same feed but on a ridiculous delay (like 30 seconds). I only flipped after the final out was recorded, so maybe that's when things got screwed up.

watched almost the whole game, but didn't pay attention until the 6th when i saw there were zero hits in the game.

ironically, yankees @ indians was the originally scheduled game for tonight. i bet espn was glad they changed it to this one now.

In a way it's kind of sad, as a no-hitter is no longer (at least this season) something special the way it used to be.

Still great to see though.

I was thinking, while I was watching the game, "Man, I feel like I'm watching someone go 4-4 with 2 homers. It's cool but it doesn't feel like history."

I've come to find out both have happened 5 times this season.
