Just giving players away again...

Yeah, Chris Leroux is awesome.

He's certainly not great, but why give up on a player earning the minimum?

Every team does it. It's the reason why we find the Dan Meyer's (last year) and Clay Hensley's (this year) of the world. Can't keep everybody. Leroux really hasn't shown any progress, and he's already 26. I certainly wish this was Jorge Sosa, instead of Leroux, though. Leroux, for what it's worth, reminds me of Lindstrom.

Shame...they really could have gotten a bag of balls for him.

They offered a bucket of balls and a pack of big league chew but asked for sunflower seeds along with Leroux and we decided just to waive him...

Yeah, I have to say that I'm glad he's gone. He's shown absolutely nothing to make me think he's a major league player.

Was there a reason he was taken of the 40 man? While I'm not broken up about losing him, I thought that he could be given another season before they pulled the plug on him.

I didn't know he was DFA'd :o

He wasn't.

So claimed on waivers?

I think someone from the Marlins dropped him off in Pittsburgh in the middle of the night and drove away

Or he was rotting on the 40 man and an obstruction to the teams efforts given that they need to cover the emergency room visits for the rotation.

Except they still haven't added anyone

And Chris Coghlan could be moved to the 60 day DL to open a 40 man roster spot

And there is about a dozen other guys on the 40 man roster of worse value than Leroux

I have to assume the FO knows something we don't (I.E. Jay Voss's loss in velocity before the season started). I pray it wasn't based off of his NOLA ERA; His peripherals match up to the rest of his career.
