Posted October 15, 201014 yr Donnie Murphy cleared waivers and was outrighted to AAA New Orleans which frees up a 40-man spot.
October 15, 201014 yr According to MLB article Donnie may not be ready because of recovery from wrist surgery :confused so I hope it won't be too long after. I want another Donnie walk-off home run
October 15, 201014 yr Helms took Donnie's spot.  :banghead if that is really true. But that also means they may be going after someone on the market. :thumbup
October 15, 201014 yr Helms took Donnie's spot. That doesn't make any sense. If you can find any post of his that does I'll shoot my foot.
October 15, 201014 yr If there's anyone that deserves a shot next year, it's Donnie Murphy..but the question is when he'll actually be ready next year
October 16, 201014 yr Helms took Donnie's spot. That doesn't make any sense. If you can find any post of his that does I'll shoot my foot.  Well that was mean
October 16, 201014 yr Helms took Donnie's spot. That doesn't make any sense. Well, with five spots on the bench - catcher, Boni, outfielder, lefty bat and Helms - just where would Donnie fit except in Helm's slot?

I sure didn't think either Chad Tracy or Mike Lamb were worth a flip this year, and any guy who might fall into our laps probably wont be either.

Donnie got outrighted because we wanted to make space on the roster and he was easy to get through waivers. He'll be a ST invitee and then he'll try to get back on the team.

October 16, 201014 yr According to MLB article Donnie may not be ready because of recovery from wrist surgery :confused so I hope it won't be too long after. I want another Donnie walk-off home run   marlins.com says he underwent surgery Sept 2nd and that minimum recovery time is 4 months. Questionable status for ST. Glad the move worked, but I am sure there are other/better lefty bench options that will present themselves as the off season moves on. He did well, but.........
October 16, 201014 yr donnie murphy needs to be here for spring training   March is 6 months from his surgery, so he should be.
October 16, 201014 yr Helms took Donnie's spot. That doesn't make any sense. Oh it does with this ownership & FO.
October 17, 201014 yr Helms took Donnie's spot. That doesn't make any sense. Oh it does with this ownership & FO.  Rab, I understand your comment because Helms was already in place for 2011 in August 2010. I believe that is what you are referring.
October 17, 201014 yr Helms took Donnie's spot. That doesn't make any sense. Oh it does with this ownership & FO. No, I mean the two things are unrelated.
October 18, 201014 yr He became a minor league FA. I need to find a new man crush now    NNNNNNOOOooo.....tell me you are wrong :o
October 18, 201014 yr http://florida.marli...010&team_id=146Â He likely was already outrighted once in his career. After a player gets outrighted once, he then has the choice of accepting the minor league assignment, or become a free agent. He chose free agency.
