Definitely. I haven't given up on Ellerby. I'm just saying... if Ellerby were good right now, Gudbranson would probably not be here. Really just because we could afford to run Ellerby full-time and have Kostka/Yonkman/Robak/Oberg/Deryluk as service depth in case of injury.

 

But... Ellerby is a real drop-off so in the situation we lose two D-men nobody's gonna want to see how ugly things get if half the defense is run by Ellerby, Kostka, and Yonkman (or Robak in the case of Kulikov/Campbell going down)...

This game is 'balanced' in terms of how much each team is getting and giving, but it's not averaged out. It's extremes. At one point it's all Panthers, then it's all Senators. That, to me, means that somebody is doing something wrong on both sides.

 

Quit taking so much time in your own zone with the puck and turning it over!
