Am I the only guy that would prefer to have Fielder over Pujols? Fielder is younger, he hasn't been injured, and he's a left handed hitter which would bring more balance to the offense, especially if you would pluck him between Hanley and Stanton. Talking about having Fielder is a pipe dream, I know, but I would take him over Pujols.

I would. My only concern is his weight, but he's younger than Pujols and would probably be cheaper. I think we could explore trading gaby + one of our current pitchers and get an upgrade in the rotation.

If one is okay with a 5 year deal and the other demands a 10 year deal... pass on either asking for 10 years.

I phrased that poorly.. I meant, if we do sign Prince or Pujols, do you see any sort of trade involving Gaby packaged around getting BJ Upton? I've read that he he may be gone this offseason with emergence of Jennings.

We won't be signing either player....WAY too expensive...!!

The fact that Fielder is a lefty is irrelevant. I would rather have Pujols at the plate than Fielder in every situation...lefty, righty. When you are one of the best hitters in the history of the game, it doesn't matter where the ball is coming from.

i don't want fat-boy. Albert would be awesome for the "greatest hitter" factor, but this team does not need a 1B. We have a decent one displacing a better one already. Yes Pujols is great, but if we do it right, Logan can park at 1B for the next decade+
