January 24, 201214 yr I remember that. I believe it was vs the Giants. Thought it was pretty cool. He jumped on the plate and they all fell down, almost like bowling pins.
January 24, 201214 yr The Marlins aren't interested in Prince Fielder in part because they feel his large contract would prevent the team from making other moves, writes MLB.com's Joe Frisaro as part of a reader mailbag. To wit, signing Fielder could make it hard for Miami to sign Mike Stanton to a multiyear extension. -MLBTR makes sense. Stanton > Fielder.
January 24, 201214 yr But they tried their darnedest to sign Pujols and CJ Wilson. Wouln't those moves have made it harder to sign Stanton too? Or is it just because Fielder is fat and naturally any contract he signs "leaves no room" for other players?
January 24, 201214 yr Ken_Rosenthal Ken Rosenthal Sources: #Marlins, #Orioles not in mix for Fielder. #Rangers out, per @BNightengale. Barring surprise, #Nationals appear favorite. #MLB Today @ 2:16 p.m i offcially jump off the Fielder train, It was fun while it lasted but i wanna thank Mike for being a constant supporter :nugget

Your optimism gives me faith in some people. Stay optimistic through the year!
January 24, 201214 yr Looks like it's Prince to the Nationals for 8 years. EDIT: Not confirmed yet, but it's looking that will get it done. EDIT2: Disregard. Fake.

January 24, 201214 yr And I thought they weren't gonna go after anyone crazy, if I remember correctly.
January 24, 201214 yr I guess Victor Martinez won't be back once his injury heals. Or Inge could be gone, Cabrera to third, Martinez/Fielder to first and whichever isn't on first is DHing. Inge has a team option for 2013, Victor is signed through 2014.
January 24, 201214 yr I wonder if Cabrera gives them any trouble about switching to 3rd or DH. Depends on if he's drunk or not. ... Too soon for DUI jokes?
January 24, 201214 yr reallly interesting move. unless prince wants to DH for the year and then move cabrera to 3rd in 2013 i really dont see him wanting to DH for 9 years.
