August 31, 201213 yr Went Johnson, Buehrle, Turner, LeBlanc, Eovaldi, f*** Nolasco get him out of here at all costs. Although I don't think I necessarily want both LeBlanc and Eovaldi in the rotation either.
August 31, 201213 yr Author It's a different era now! Anyway, as people probably already figured out from the other JJ thread, I chose the option without Josh Johnson.
August 31, 201213 yr Shut up old man it's time for a younger generation to take over. My generation built this country!!! How dare you.

August 31, 201213 yr Shut up old man it's time for a younger generation to take over. My generation built this country!!! How dare you. Yeah but I built the roads that your generation used to build this country. Did you ever think of that?
August 31, 201213 yr Need the spring. I think that JJ and Burhle are certain and Eovaldi and Turner are going to get a shot. I pretty much expect the team to trade Nolasco - even if they give him away, and to sign a free agent (I want Sanchez back).
August 31, 201213 yr Personally, I think the rotation is going to be JJ, Buehrle, Nolasco, Turner, Eovaldi/Leblanc. I'd love it if we could dump Ricky though and sign a FA on a 1-year deal as a stopgap. I also really like Turner so far. Yes he's had 1 or 2 poor innings, and we obviously can't exclude those innings, but he's also looked pretty damn good in the other ones. He's at least shown he's capable of pitching very well. I really like that he hasn't walked anybody yet.
August 31, 201213 yr Went with option number 4...I like this rotation: JJ Buehrle Turner LeBlanc Eovaldi/Sanabia/Hand Any option that includes getting rid of Nolasco I'm on board with...
September 1, 201213 yr The fourth options is the best bet imo, it was tough considering Nolasco just through a complete game but I think his time has come and gone, let Eovaldi figure out the kinks and move on with the younger players. Johnson Buehrle Turner LeBlanc Eovaldi Looks good, don't know how long LeBlanc will have it or if Eovaldi will ever be a real true solid overall pitcher but he's had a few great games and no team is going to have all aces. Unless the FO which although is very doubtful tries to add another arm but I don't think its necessary at this point.
September 1, 201213 yr Wow, I have very little confidence in that rotation. We're 13th this year with more than a half season of Anibal. I'd be surprised by a rotation ERA anywhere near 4; 4.50 seems more likely.
September 5, 201213 yr i expect jj, buehrle, fa, turner, nolasco. leblanc if a free agent isnt acquired. i think eovaldi will be in the pen next year (at least in the beginning). part of me wants leblanc in the pen to solidify it as well...but i dont know if they will find a good fa pitcher.
September 5, 201213 yr LeBlanc is a highly serviceable 3rd or 4th starter in my opinion... He certainly has shown that, no doubt.
September 5, 201213 yr LeBlanc is a highly serviceable 3rd or 4th starter in my opinion... Maybe in our rotation. I think overall he's proven that he's capable of giving us a Quality Start more often than not, hence my opinion as to why he's more than capable of filling the 3rd or 4th spot in almost any starting rotation in the bigs right now...
September 5, 201213 yr What, in his 58 career starts and 1.4+ WHIP in said starts convinces you that he is a 4, much less a 3? His career QS% is 48%. With us it is better, it is a massive 50%. LeBlanc should work as a reliever / 5th starter for a rotation that skips the 5 using off days. That is a valuable guy, but not a regular rotation piece on a contender.
September 5, 201213 yr Screw it, fast track fernandez. The kid is so damn dominate he deserves it I thought the "Leblanc is a 3rd starter" would be the stupidest thing I could read in this thread. I would be wrong.

I was reading somebody else's stats... :wee
