Posted April 4, 201312 yr The team sucked. 18 consecutive innings with no runs I'm having flashbacks of that weasel David Sampson saying the fire sale was a way to make us better and put a more competitive product on the field The End!
April 4, 201312 yr Slowey hung in there at least. He needs to limit walks though to be effective. Big error from Solano led to a run. Wonder if Kotchman's out now for a bit...
April 4, 201312 yr Doesn't get any easier tomorrow, Zimmerman is a great pitcher, Id give us good odds to get shutout again... is there a term for a series shutout? Like a Platinum Sombrero or something? lol
April 4, 201312 yr Samson say this team can win games :wee :wee :wee :wee on e-mail that i wrote to him
April 4, 201312 yr How about everybody try to bunt Infinitely to get more chance to score? Except Stanton, I think this plan would be fitted well our team.
April 4, 201312 yr Runs? Where do they come from? Well, when an Owner and Team President love each other very much..........
April 4, 201312 yr http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_most_consecutive_innings_that_a_major_league_baseball_team_has_held_opponents_scoreless
April 4, 201312 yr - Defending division champs - Top pitching staff - Great defenders I CAN'T SEE WHY WE LOST! IT'S LORIA'S FAULT, THOUGH! Yes, I'm being sarcastic, dammit. Chill, people, it's game two. 160 to go. Shit.
April 4, 201312 yr Stanton is 1 for 7 with 3 strikeouts and a walk. Somehow I don't think this team is running on all cylinders.
April 4, 201312 yr I'm willing to be horrible this season if it means being respectable in 2014, and contenders in 2015. I'm looking at you Yelich, Fernandez, Brantly, Heaney, Turner, Eovaldi, Marisnick. Nicolino, Hechavarria... No I'm not Loria. Or Samson.
April 4, 201312 yr here we did 2006 http://www.baseball-almanac.com/teamstats/schedule.php?y=2006&t=FLO
April 4, 201312 yr Just got back from the game. And it was freeeeeeeeeezing. Almost as cold as the Marlins' bats. My thoughts: Solano's error was really unfortunate. Slowey hadn't been dominant or anything up until that point, but he did hold the Nats in check (except for Gio of all people). With the way the Marlins have been playing, a 1 run difference is huge in how your hitting approach varies. Clutch hitting is non-existent. JP is still fun to watch. Stanton doesn't seem comfortable up there. Hechavarria might never get a hit this season. He's less of a threat than the pitcher while at the plate. Ruggs put a charge into the ball a few times. I could have sworn he tied the game up with his final swing. Damn close. It's a shame that holding the Nationals to 5 runs in the first two games literally amounts to nothing. Oh well, I'll be out there tomorrow - one more time. Let's get 'em, Fish!
