Yelich hasn't been activated from the DL until today. I'd like to see him get a couple of solid months in AA. Calling him up in early June is too soon.

Did I say early June? Just June. Mid June works.

Worst offense ever.

We are not dead last in every offensive category in the MLB for no reason. We don't hit much, and when we do then we simply leave our guys stranded on base.

Cox is hitting over .300 as well and - last I checked - he had just as many walks as strikeouts.

And Ozuna got called up to Jax today.

Was I speaking directly to you?

Early June is about when the super-2 cut-off is--that's why I mentioned it. And the difference between early June and mid June is like one week, so I don't see why you are going out of your way to make that distinction. Quite frankly, I think anytime that month is too soon for someone who wasn't activated until today.

He went out of his way to clarify his comments because he knows YOU'RE an ass and immediately followed his comment. Anyone with half a brain would think you are speaking directly about him and his post.

Then again, why would I assume you even have a quarter of a brain.

Carry on.

i want to see ozuna, yelich, jensen, marisnick, and dietrich.

Go to Jacksonville.

Bringing these guys up earlier than you need to is a dumb idea. This team is going nowhere and will be a bottom feeder for the next few years (longer if this FO remains in place)

This escalated quickly.

There is absolutely no need to rush that group up from JAX. Might be different if we were somehow in contention and someone went down with an injury or we had one big hole where it might be worth it to take a shot.

Let's give these guys at least a full season of at-bats above high-A. This is normal.

Exactly. I don't want to see any of those guys on the team come June. Their development is not worth risking in order to lose 92 games instead of 102.

The 1998 offense hit .248/.317/.373. Our best hitter with at least 100 ABs was Mike Redmond.

I don't see LoMo coming back and lighting the world on fire and I don't see Stanton picking it up any time soon. The guy is just being a moron at the plate. He has a 66% first pitch strike percentage (league average is 59%) for a reason: he's swinging at it every damn time. He's also going out of the zone 38% of the time. League average is 28%. He's just so damn frustrating to watch.

I see Yelich coming up and being our best player, hitting in the .270 range. Dietrich will probably hit around .250 or .260.

In short, honestly, I think this team is going to hit worse than the 1998 team.

Yup, still an ass.

God it's funny how just a few months ago everyone was fellatng Stanton. Now people want to either trade or knock him.

he's supposed to be the only bright spot in this lineup and he's stinking it up. not too funny. hopefully he'll turn it around.

For what it's worth, I still think he's great. But this team sucks so much that it's just a waste of talent. I'm one of those guys who didn't really want Fernandez promoted either.

Stanton would help fill a lot of organizational holes that this team currently has due to...well, a terrible front office. Stanton can be as great as he wants. We won't be a winning organization with the rest of the scrubs around him, long-term.

And if there's one thing that this organization has, it's a surplus of intriguing prospects who can play the OF.

I obviously wouldn't mind it if they extended Stanton's contract though. Too bad that'll never happen either.

The way he's playing and his attitude may have a little something to do with that. Just a guess though.

What attitude?

And Stanton sucks EVERY April, this is nothing new. If he still sucks halfway through May, then be worried.

He's struggling so it means he doesn't care.

He's struggling so it means he doesn't care. Oh, right, I forgot.

Pujols didn't care last April for the Angels, either.

The Jacksonville Marlins?

bring em up here! the stadium might even sell out on the weekends
