Stanton 208 8 10 0 24

Dietrich 201 8 10 2 21

Dietrich's power has been impressive. He ranks 5th in ISO for Second baseman, minimum 200 PAs.

He's a one trick pony. That's not impressive.

Huh? He's always been known for power, pretty much every stop of the way... He was OPSing .913 in Jax before getting called up.

He's been pretty good on D, too. Not one trick by any means.

Plus I think he can be a .270 hitter.

Agreed. I think he's going to be pretty damn good, actually.

The problem with this topic is the K% and BB% 13.8% to 5.3% 24.8% to 22.8% simply this is where giancarlo gets the nod. They are the same age as well just for info.

I'm not on the bandwagon, sorry. I hope Dietrich turns out to be a good player ultimately, but for right now, I'm not too happy with him going forward.

Are we seriously comparing Dietrich to Stanton?

Most defensive metrics point to him being below average. If he was truly good defensively, it would reflect on his metrics at least.

Deitrich is still a work in progress. If Stanton didn't get pitched around he would be really bad this year, he is lucky to be average. I think both will be better in time, and I like them both long term.

Are you discussing Stanton or Dietrich?

Stanton has the worst fielding percentage of any outfielder in the National League.

It was Dietrich, yes. And Stanton's kinda coming off of leg injuries that are admittedly becoming routine and annoying.

Either way. I don't understand your hate for him, rg.

Stanton has a better defensive WAR than Cuddyer or Justin Upton, so he's not worst defensive outfielder.

Also what are you discussing with this thread? What is it that you want to establish?

Something about Stanton being lazy and overated with a bad attitude I'm sure

Then I think you haven't been watching. He has some flaws but she has shown good power, defense, and speed.

Jacob Turner: 2.33 ERA

Nathan Eovaldi: 2.55 ERA

Jose Fernandez: 2.83 ERA

I guess Fernandez is our #3. Yay stats without context.

Three nice pitchers. And young.

One is really young and had no MLB experience before this year.

Excellent upside for all of them and good things coming for the Marlins.

Hechavarria's metrics say he's below average, too.

I HATE defensive metrics.
