Also, whoever it was is not "clearly incorrect" considering it's been four games. While I think he'll be fine, you can't draw conclusions from an unspectacular four-game series at Coors Field.

From this point, we have to win 25 more games to avoid 100 losses. I see that right now as best case scenario.

I feel like all of this is irrelevant. I mean, if they win 70, it's cool because I did not like last year's team, but it doesn't make a difference either way. If anything, MLB rewards more losing by giving teams a better draft pick.

 

I'm hoping the young guys improve and however many they win, they win. I do believe winning is good for team development, but the number of wins this year is irrelevant to me. No playoffs is no playoffs. It's a bottom line business.

The whole point of baseball is to make the playoffs (because then it's a crapshoot to win the World Series.) If the Marlins don't make it to the playoffs, the next priority is a good spot at the next year's draft. Needless to say, we aren't effectively trying to work at either right now.
