June 16, 201412 yr Author The Randy Wolf experiment has ended as everyone expected...except for the Marlins front office. I'm also glad to see that the turd (Solano) has finally been flushed.
June 16, 201412 yr Author I'm guessing that they are moving Turner to the bullpen and giving rotation spots to Heaney and DeSclafani.
June 16, 201412 yr WOW this is literally everything i asked for in one of my posts in the last few weeks. Surprising that Wolf was DFA'd but he deserved it. I thought he would go to Slowey's role but wow the start of a new era. Hopefully Desclafani goes to the rotation too instead of Turner but if not he better be a late innings guy in the pen. Also when the hell is kevin gregg going to come up, not that I'm on pins and needles waiting for him but i feel like he's been getting ready for a while at this point. Finally solano is off the roster that has been a huge issue for a while now. Plain and simple our team got a lot better today.
June 16, 201412 yr They most have been reading these message boards last night. LOL I am excited to see how this plays out.
June 16, 201412 yr All we need now is for Furcal to pull a hamstring and for Dietrich to be recalled. Whatever happens from there the rest of the season we would at least have our best players on the team and on the field.
June 16, 201412 yr Salty also transferred to 15 day DL DeSclafani, Heaney, Bour, Marisnick to Majors What's wrong with salty? Still has cobwebs? Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
June 16, 201412 yr What's wrong with salty? Still has cobwebs? Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk I think his time was running out. The 15 day could be retroactive
June 16, 201412 yr This is very interesting. I would also expect to see Turner go to long relief. Hopefully Disco and Heaney do their thing and we get Saltalamacchia back this week too. After that just get Yelich healthy.
June 16, 201412 yr About damn time Ha! I was literally gonna post here "To quote the great Lebron James, 'It's about damn time'" I am a fan of all these moves. Wolf and Slowey were killing us, Heaney is obviously ready to go, and I like Bour being in the majors (and Disco would be a good pitcher to have out of the 'pen and maybe even take the occasional start if necessary).
June 16, 201412 yr Good manager: Heaney and Disco to the rotation, Turner to long relief, Marisnick in LF, Bour as a power bat off the bench. Bad manager: Disco in the bullpen in the Slowey role, Turner stays in the rotation (OR Turner to the bullpen, used in high leverage situations), Marisnick on the bench while Johnson plays LF, Bour gets one at bat per week because Lucas becomes the first choice off the bench, regardless of the situation. For the first time in your career: Mike Redmond, please do things that make sense.
June 16, 201412 yr yep Redmond says Desclafani will start tomorrow, Heaney Thursday, Turner to the bullpen. I think I hear an angel singing.
June 16, 201412 yr Thank god Wolf is gone. Another horrible signing by us, rivaling the Marmol one. Excited to see Heaney. I still think DeSclafani needs more time in the minors but whatever. Let him work from the pen for a bit. Glad to see Bour back up. Thought he did okay last time up for the few games he was here. Good approach at the plate. Sad for Yelich. He was having a good campaign. Not to mention he is one of my favorite players.
June 16, 201412 yr Author I still think DeSclafani needs more time in the minors but whatever. Let him work from the pen for a bit. He's joining the rotation
June 16, 201412 yr Yeah, these were moves that had to be made. wish it could have happened a week ago but okay. All those who were DFA'd or sent down were killing us. Please...Heaney and Disco in the rotation, Turner to the pen, he can take the Slowey role. Glad to see Bour coming back. Please get Dietrich back on this team. don't care what it takes. If Furcal starts settling in, at best we need a platoon to get Deit's bat in there against righties. Against righties, Furcal can play an occasional SS in place of Hech, or be a late inning defensive substitute for Dietrich. I'd swap either Johnson or Lucas out. If Johnson, Lucas can be the 4th outfielder (when Yelich is back and Marisnick is sent back down, assuming he doesn't wow us with his bat in the next couple of weeks). I'm psyched, anxious to see what this infusion of young talent will do for us.
