April 17, 201511 yr A nice 3-7 start. Colon, Harvey and DeGrom coming up. Cant hold a fucking lead and Wilmer Flores is hitting three run home runs. Its fucking easy for the Mets. I have never seen a team where literally everything goes right for them against us. We were terrible against them last year and just more of the same tonight. Hope Cosart is proud.
April 17, 201511 yr Author Blaming Cosart is a bit ridiculous. Oh ok. Your team just gave you a 3 run lead going into the bottom of the fifth and in a span of 3 batters you blew the lead. Then your team got you another run and two batters later you blew that lead too. Why blame him right?
April 17, 201511 yr He threw one bad pitch until the 6th inning. He was clearly out of gas at the beginning of the sixth, at which point Redmond should have taken him out and put in someone who wasn't guaranteed to blow the game, i.e. not Dunn. it's called match ups. Every other manager would've put in a lefty to face granderson/duda. Unfortunately it didn't go our way, but that's not even close to being a debatable call,it would've been far worse if he put in a righty to face them and the Mets scored runs.

I'm not sure anyone fits that bill in our bullpen right now.

I don't think he did it on purpose. lol
April 17, 201511 yr Im getting fed up with ozuna. Its been growing for a bit. His eyes are all over the place every single swing.
April 17, 201511 yr I don't think he did it on purpose. lol Of course he could've always bet on the Mets so who knows.
April 17, 201511 yr Author But in the long run this is a big problem. The mets really take it to us and they very often win the close ones. This team needs to bounce back in this series which will not be easy but they have no choice. They keep this up they will be 10 under soon.
April 17, 201511 yr worst SP in the NL and it only cost us marisinick, wallach and discalfini. huzzah!
April 17, 201511 yr Hand. Dunn had a good outing yesterday, Red sticks with the "hot" arm, unfortunately there aren't many other options, yes Hand, but Hands last game was meh. And with no lefty in the rotation, Hand might be sliding in there depending on how Phelps does.
April 17, 201511 yr I don't care for the guys we traded away to get them, but without Jose and Alvarez, our SP is simply not good enough to survive these first couple of months. I know this organization thinks it has depth, but the reality is that it's not looking good. If you look at all the rotations of the teams that were/are expected to contend, ours is easily the worst.
April 17, 201511 yr The worst part is Salty is going to get a start tomorrow even though JT hit the ball pretty hard (his last AB is a HR in most parks)

You're selling Disco sort. He's going to be a very good MLBer and most likely outprodue Latos on a WAR basis by a long shot.
April 17, 201511 yr The worst part is Salty is going to get a start tomorrow even though JT hit the ball pretty hard (his last AB is a HR in most parks) I like Redmond and all, but he's been wearing thin on me lately. Benching JT in favor of salty won't help him in my eyes.

April 17, 201511 yr If you look at all the rotations of the teams that were/are expected to contend, ours is easily the worst. Our rotation is pretty bad even among the other non-contending NL teams. We're about to be 4-9 or 3-10 and it's primatily due to our SP.
April 17, 201511 yr You're selling Disco sort. He's going to be a very good MLBer and most likely outprodue Latos on a WAR basis by a long shot. Disco might be an average starter some day, but he's nothing special. If he were wearing a Marlins uniform, we wouldn't be mentioning him right now. 13 innings of .182 .BABIP/93 LOB% doesn't change much for me. We'll see where he is by the end of the year. If he outproduces Latos, it'll probably be because Latos sucked rather than Disco being really good.
April 17, 201511 yr I like Redmond and all, but he's been wearing thin on me lately. Benching JT in favor of salty won't help him in my eyes. EDIT READ IT WRONG. STONED AND DRUNK SRY.
