July 7, 201510 yr Author Do you and Admin think Jeffrey Loria is a good owner? No I do not but I also don't just blindly hate him and blame him for everything. Gotta play fair or you just come off as ignorant.
July 7, 201510 yr Do you and Admin think Jeffrey Loria is a good owner? I don't. But I also don't think it's Loria's fault that James Shields turned down our higher offer to play closer to home, nor is it Lorias fault that Ozuna suddenly can't hit. too many on here blame Loria for things that would/could easily happen even if we had the most amazing owner ever.
July 7, 201510 yr Author miamibaseball warned us that Admin was a Mets fan but we refuse to listen. I also liked Bad News Bears
August 4, 201510 yr This is just ridiculous. It's pretty clear at this point that Ozuna is down there as punishment...

August 4, 201510 yr Its for Super 2 and it is just good business. I had to look up was Super 2 was, lol. You're probably right.
August 4, 201510 yr I think that they sent him down for the right reasons...he was struggling and his power was missing. The fact that they can save his service time by keeping him down an extra couple of weeks was just a happy accident. I don't think they planned it that way, but at this point, given how awful the season has gone, they may as well leave him down there until next week.

I think we all agree he wouldn't have been demoted if he was producing. But since he's down there anyway, only makes sense to leave him there.
August 4, 201510 yr Hasnt he been down long enough to cover super 2 status. I mean might as well keep him down a little longer, as sooner or later that date for Super 2 status is going to start changing, since teams have been using that June 1-14 date as the cut off from April.
August 4, 201510 yr I think we all agree he wouldn't have been demoted if he was producing. But since he's down there anyway, only makes sense to leave him there. I want them to bring Ozuna back up because I want to see him play plus Cole Gillespie. That's all you need to say. However, he doesn't have the right to complain and neither does Boras (especially Boras) because they turned down the long term deal in the winter. They had the same right to turn that down as the Marlins due to keep him down. Boras gambled and now he and Ozuna have to pay the price. If they would have negotiated in good faith like Stanton and Yelich did , Ozuna wouldn't be in this predicament. If there's anyone that Ozuna should be pissed at it's Boras.
August 4, 201510 yr Morse almost hit a homer in his first at bat. Telis almost kills someone in the stands. God do we suck and the baseball gods are making sure of that. C.O.L.
August 4, 201510 yr He isn't down there because of the contract refusal. That's just a coincidence. And I heard somewhere, but can't remember where, that August 8th is around when he should back. So if he's not back sometime next week, then maybe there's a problem.

August 4, 201510 yr When I imagine Boras and/or Ozuna calling Mike Hill and asking to be brought back up I like to picture Hill listening to their pleas and then just swiftly saying "Fuck it!" before hanging up.
August 4, 201510 yr Jose Fernandez refused to negotiate too, of course Boras is his agent. Jose Fernandez hasn't failed to produce though. The main reason Ozuna was demoted was because he wasn't producing. Had he produced he wouldn't be in this predicament in the first place. This is all on him and his agent. I honestly hope that they bring him up for the teams sake. I would like to get both Ozuna and Fernandez signed long term and we don't need the animosity with them or their agent. However, that doesn't take away from the fact that the Ozuna camp should be crying about this situation that they created.

August 4, 201510 yr NBCSports article about the Marlins "screwing over" Ozuna such crap. Someone should send them a list of players held back for Super two . Every team does it.
August 5, 201510 yr Author ozuna 3 for 4 last night hehe He'll be back within 2 weeks, probably on the shorter side of that
