August 1, 201511 yr Author marlins.com updated prospect list has Telis ranked #11 in our top 30, so there's our backup catcher hopefully. Backup catcher and a lefty specialist for a middle reliever/ 7th inning guy. I liked Dyson okay but this seems pretty fair. We did need an ML-ready catcher behind Muto.

Small sample size warning, but with the Marlins this season, Dyson walked 3.48 per 9, with the Rangers he's only walked one batter in 15.1 innings. Granted, he's striking fewer batters out than he was as a Marlin, but that lowered walk rate makes him an excellent late inning option. He's accumulated more WAR in 15 games with the Rangers than he did in his entire Marlins career (80 games)

Cishek, dyson, salty, morse. these guys are all stars Cishek is the exact same pitcher he was with us (3.50 to 3.28 FIP) he has been buoyed by a 93.3 LOB% which is unsustainable. His strikeouts have actually gone down since joining the Cardinals. Dyson is better, no argument there. Salty is slashing .227/.311/.378. His temperature may have gone down a bit, but he's still hot garbage. Morse is playing better, but he's being lifted by an entirely unsustainable .435 BABIP, so he'll hit the Earth soon too. Really, aside from Dyson, none of the guys we traded this year at the deadline have actually improved. Better results, sure, but mostly luck based.

Probably right about the shift, but most likely he's been quite lucky in a small sample size
