August 3, 201511 yr Author Ellington was drafted in 2012 and actually has very solid numbers this year. my who is Ellington was more rhetorical than anything. He has been good, but Wittgren has been excellent and in a much harder to pitch in league.

August 3, 201511 yr Ellington was a 12th round pick in 2012, he got an invite to ST this year and as I recall he pitched in the Az Fall League last year, I know he played his college ball at the University of West Florida
August 3, 201511 yr Interesting. Yeah Ellington really came into his own in the Arizona Fall League. Figured he'd get a shot sooner or later. But odd that he jumped Wittgren.
August 3, 201511 yr Author Wittgren did pitch 3 innings last night for some reason and since they needed someone tonight is probably why Ellington got the shot first I'm guessing. edit: Nevermind his last appearance was July 31. Still baffled then.

I know that Wittgren deserves to be called up but Ellington has a nice live arm. He throws in the high 90's ( tops out at 98) from what I have read. His numbers are pretty good also. I really want to see what his pitches look like. Still can't explain why Wittgren is so over looked though.
