Nats wanted Yelich for Gio

Featured Replies

hopefully gio has a similar year ERA wise to keep his price not insane...His peripherals are awesome and he's primarily a 2 seam pitcher (hence the v nice GB rate increase in 2015)

I don't think we'll pay what Gio is gonna get in 2017.

We could've had Gio for Logan Morrison a few years back....oh well. At least we turned LoMo into Capps.

The idiocy of this proposal is the fact that Gio would effectively be a one year rental and that Yelich is locked up through 2021.

Makes no damn sense.

For Yelich I agree, horrible offer. But keep in mind, Gio won't be a 1 yr rental of offered a fair deal. Even if he get a bigger offer somewhere else, with a market value offer he'll sign here.

Maybe not but they will likely try anyway

Well after 2017 we'll likely have new ownership so....

We should offer one of the Solano family members for Harper. The Nats should do it, it'd be a steal.

Won't work. They already had one so they know.
