Fanfest

I had a friend who helped get me the VIP access stuff last year and I even got to ask a question, which ended up being me saying the farm system was made "barren" due to the trades they made in the offseason and if they were worried that could end up backfiring. I got told by Michael Hill that the system wasn't barren (he seemed annoyed I called the system he helped build 'barren') and there was no reason to worry.

I will not be attending this year.

You're so uneducated as to what they're doing.

I went to Dodgers Fanfest.

It was weird.

There were actually a lot of people there.

I love Los Angeles. You are so lucky.

Pfft, yeah, and?

You're competing against a guy who has a no-trade clause. You have no shot.

Why?   LA sucks. Miami but with worse traffic, less plastic surgery and loads of smog.  No thanks.

Traffic is worse in Miami, I live further from work now than I did there, but it takes me less time. Smog is a myth beyond the early 90s, and there is so much more to LA than the West Side.  I've met exactly zero people who have lived in Miami and LA and preferred Miami.

It's way worse now than it was last year, too

Traffic is worse in LA. And I'll take our tax rates over LA's any day not to mention tolerable ocean water.

I didn't think the question was all that memorable, but yes it was.

Traffic is not worse in all of LA. It is on the West Side, but that's why smart people don't live on that side. I used to live in Miami Gardens and work in Hollywood. It would take me 40 minutes in the morning and 60 in the evening, despite only being 9 miles away. Now, I live 14 miles away from work, which requires I pass downtown LA, and I have never taken more than 35 minutes there or back. Tax here is a little annoying, but it shows in the infrastructure not being hot garbage and I also don't have to pay to drive on highways. In terms of the water, if we're being honest, it's pretty gross in both places in general, with both having "nice" beaches as well. I mean...at least the sand is real out here if you want to talk beaches.

My parents will be there as usual. My trips to miami are always in season. I havent been to a fanfest since 2005.

Fair enough on the high ways. Though, my commute is only 10 minutes... biking. As for taxes, the money still looks better in my pocket. As for ocean water, I have to disagree. I enjoy decent diving of coral reefs off Miami beach. Can't do that in Cali.

Definitely will. Met silverbullet in june at the rockies game. This year, its more and more likely that its the week of giants and white sox in august. Cant wait. Hopefully we will be in serious contention.

Wait and see, our group will grow.
