April 11, 201610 yr Author Mattingly's inaugural terrible move with the Marlins was taking Koehler out when he did. It was in that he brought in Narveson, who is far worse than anyone on the roster. But his real mistake was letting Koehler into the seventh at all. He was showing signs of being tired in the sixth and had already been through the order too many times. That being said, I don't trust anyone in the bullpen, so I don't know what he should have done. Maybe throw Conley in since his start was so short? I don't know, ugh...fuck this bullpen so much.

April 16, 201610 yr Its like their goal was to build a bullpen of non-roster invitee has beens. In my opinion, if Barraclough gets to 10 innings in AAA doing what he's been doing, I call him up. If Cody Ege gives me another 2-3 good outings in the next week, I call him and hopefully never have to see Narveson again. Still need to see Brian Ellington get his control back so hopefully in his next 8-10 innings he can show significant improvement. And I think if Wittgren performs over the next two weeks I call him up too. It should be gradual because of the lack of experience but that is 4 power arms that are much better than the mistakes we have in the bullpen.

I suppose that isn't saying much but I've lost track of who the free agents are I really think it was much difficult to upgrade bullpen from outside in this early of season,good FA were all signed in the off-season and trade market not begin until July,so upgrade from inside seems be the only choice.
