Bullpen never has any margin for error because this team is not hitting.

We would be winning these games if Stanton wasn't such a dead weight.

The offense is definitely a big part of the issue. But when you have a 1-run lead in the 8th, need to close it down so thank Phelps for that. Thats 3 blown saves in the last 5 games for this team.

Stanton hit some hard smashes his first couple at bats. No luck there. Felt like JT could have kept the ball in front of him to not allow the passed ball.

 

Phelps gave a big HR but he will bounce back. If you are gonna lose then lose with your best arms out there. Too bad McGowan was the one that gave away the final blow.

 

Offense should have added on tho. We can't kept expecting to win all these 4-3 games.

Even at 30-28 this team has missed way too many opportunities. 3-10 against the Braves, Phillies, and Twins.

 

And I  believe the Marlins had the lead in all 6 losses to the Braves and Twins and definitely 1 or 2 against the Phillies. Pathetic and inexcusable.

And many of us are tired of the negative attitudes and crying around here.  

 

We live and die with Stanton whether you like it or not.  If we would have traded him or let him walk, the same people bitching about him would be bitching that we got rid of him.

 

Phelps might have blown a couple but he has done a phenomenal job.  Where would we be without him right now?

 

He's stepped up big for Capps.

You claim that people don't understand that we play down to a bad teams level.  Well maybe we just play up to good teams levels?

 

We are at best a .500 team on paper actually playing .500 baseball.  Why the audacity to complain about  .500 when we've been a last place or near last place team for as long as I can remember?

 

You and the rest of the negative Nancy's should just enjoy the fact that we are having a decent season for once.
