To me, a slump is 3 weeks to a month at max. After that, something is going on. You have some of the best hitting coaches in the world, all the video analysis you could want, and full access to batting cages, BP throwers etc. Figure it out.

Definitely something mental. Has Barry been doing any other work with Stanton besides the tracking of pitches a couple home stands ago?

I'd say screw it and have him step in and right this ship with him already.

If Stanton only gets 25 hits the rest of the year, I will ban myself from the site for a year. No wait, 2 years.

He will be mr anti-3000. 25 hits.

Stanton may hit a HR today or he may not.

Stanton hamate hit a HR today or hamate not.

I used to like you until this post, now I can't look at you even

I believe Stanton gets 25 more hits the rest of the season.

I believe Stanton will have a two week period sometime this season in which he gets more than 25 hits.

It's definitely very mental, but there are some fundamental things wrong for sure. I'm not going to act like I know exactly what they are, as it's hard to tell without slow motion from a side angle unless it's glaring. One thing for sure is he is way too far from the plate which is very telling about his approach. When he's off the plate, he is vulnerable to the outside fastball, which sets up the slider away. If he's on the plate, he can sit on the inside fastball and get his hips cleared as that's the only option pitchers will really have.

This I can see

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if he paid nolasco for 2 hits today.

Ramos is closer, stupid.

Fuck! Good one.

No it wasn't. It was a lazy effort and he's better than that. Now shun him.

but the majority here know that Stanton is streaky.

No no no no.

They may say they know that Stanton is streaky but they don't actually understand.

If people here understand that Stanton is streaky and that he'll end up with an OPS north of .900 then WHAT ARE THEY MOANING ABOUT night after night?  I mean, I get being frustrated but calling for his head every night is out of line.

Shitty fans turn their backs on their players when they have major struggles.

Two hits tonight is a good start toward ending The Horror.

The first pitch in his last AB was outside but was called a strike. Changed the entire dynamic of the rest of the AB.

I know you were disappointed that Stanton had 2 hits, Vince. 2 more than you were rooting for. Get some rest and wake up fresh for some more Stanton Hatin tomorrow!

23 hits left for G in 2016

I wish he hit a 2 run homer in the 9th. but another flail like the good old days of yesterday and the previous 5 years.

Yeah,blame the home umpire.

Yes,I hope so,too, but I just know he would be SO to end the game.                                                      Vince,do you think Stanton would be figured out the pitch he swing and miss every time in his life ?

I will subject myself to a day of uncontrollable diarrhea just to get Stanton to move up in the box.

Just look at what it's done for Ozuna's ability to foul off pitches and lay off the outside slider. The answer could be right in front of him yet we see no changes.

if the ball isn't exactly in his hitting zone, he doesn't make contact.
